how is a Bleach fan in the red? enjoy my measly rep power brah

I'm in the red because a mod interpreted an off-color joke as racist and put me from 150 green to -350 red. Lulz.
But yeah thanks. I don't like how wonderweiss looks so childish and (no intolerant) retarded.
While odds are he's gonna be the most powerful arrancar yet since there's no other reason for Aizen to make him AFTER already having Stark, Barragan, Halibel, Yammi, etc. unless he was more powerful than them or has some really special ability.

I was wondering when the hell Wonderweiss was gonna make another appearance... there was no point for Aizen to create him after having Stark etc. unless he was incredibly powerful or had some odd ability that makes him useful.
And that large thing behind him... doesn't it kinda remind you of that huge purple "slit"-like eye that was behind Aizen as he ascended into Heuco Mundo back in the Soul Society arc?
|
SPOILERS
I don't think that the big blob behind wonderweiss is his fraccion or anything like that. It loooks a bit like the thing behind Aizen when he left Soul Society, so that would have existed long before Aizen created wonderweiss.
But I hope that wonderweiss loses the childish immaturity when faced with a powerful opponent (captains etc...), as we've had enough comedy in the omaeda <-> 2nd espada fight imo. Love the seriousness of stark vs ukitake + shunsui.

Samurai 7
Samurai 7 is a re-creation of the 1950's movie "The Seven Samurai". Now, I've never seen the original movie, but after doing some research into the characters and story line, I think the fans of the black and white movie will be pleasantly surprised with the anime. Most of the main elements of the story are kept intact, along with the names of the Samurai. However, the anime creates an alternate universe where feudal japan meets flying gunships and samurai fused machines. I feel the reason for this was not only to make the anime seem more modern, but to enhance the viewers opinion of what the samurai accomplish (This will become clear later in the review). To be honest, I was a little confused when I saw flying battleships and giant mecha towering over the rice fields in the first episode. But in no way do the machines and technology take away from the classic story.
The character development in Samurai 7 is excellent. You will never be confused about who a character is or what their purpose is in the anime because this is established in a very clearly as you meet each character throughout the anime. I found that I could relate to the Samurai in the anime because they have such a strong sense of duty and honor. Samurai 7 is just the story people need right now in a time where society is introverted. The story flows very well and never has that "cram it all in at the end" feeling I get from allot of other 26 episode arks. Unfortunately, the story falls into place so well that it is easy to predict the next move of the characters and what is going to happen in the story. I liked the theme of big things being accomplished by few. This is where the Mecha plays a huge part in the story, as the Samurai are able to destroy such giant hulking machines with only thier swords. It made me think that you could accomplish anything as long as you had the will, determination, and conviction.
The animation is solid (except episode 7, not sure what happened there) and combines CG with hand drawing. You can notice dips in quality that very every couple episodes, But I was impressed by the mix of Hand and CG. The ending of this anime is one of the best endings I have seen for a 26 episode ark. You really get the full spectrum of feelings towards the end of the Anime, happiness, sadness, anger, vindication, are all expressed in the closing episodes. In the end, I had a much better idea of the "sheepdog" mentality and self sacrifice. I walked away with much more than I expected from Samurai 7, so I suggest it to anyone, anime fan or not. I would definitely re-watch this anime because I fell in love with the story. Samurai 7 it 5 out of 5 stars from me and goes up there in my hall of fame with cowboy bebop and other great animes.

Wolf's Rain
Despite the hype, I wouldn't go out and buy your wolf tee's just yet. Wolf's Rain is the archetype of good story, horrible execution. Please don't dismiss this review as outwardly negative; I am being as fair as possible with this anime. The truth about Wolf's rain is that it will disappoint most viewers who want any sort of back story or information about the story or guidance in the beginning episodes. Most 26 arc anime's have a clear view of where they start and are going, but I felt that this anime really had no scope or sense of direction in it's plot. Wolf's Rain is about a world where humans are confined to cities and wolves (along with other plants and animals) have gone extinct due to human interest in alchemy. The problem with the anime is that the story is explained until (In no great detail mind you) much later in the episodes. and even with brief explanation of the story line, I found myself not willing to except it for what is was. The first couple of episodes you are aware of certain characters that are involved in the story...But you have no background on them whatsoever. The idea of the anime is excellent, but the plot is plagued shortfalls in execution. I spent the first 10 episodes wondering the key questions that should be answered within he 10 episode time line of who, what, when, where why?
The anime does not use its 26 episodes to tell the story. In fact, the ark requires 4 more episodes (Labled as OVA's) in order to complete an incomplete ending. Many will disagree with me and say that Wolf's Rain is an excellent anime, but I dare any viewer to watch the first 26 episodes and be satisfied. The major problem with is that that there is is too little to late when it comes to this anime. I was shocked to find at 2-3 episodes to be filler...Yes, filler in a 26 episode ark! This is the result of improper planning by the writers. You will wander through the universe lost and confused, only accepting what happens in each episode. However, this anime is not exactly lost to the incompetence of the writing staff. Deep emotions that should have been revealed in the earlier episodes are thrown at you towards the end. But in a perfect world, anime should capture your interests in the beginning rather than the end. Aside from the various plot holes, the redeeming quality of Wolf's rain is found in its sound track and animation; Neither of which seem to ever dip in overall quality. If the viewer allows these factors to hook him in, then the anime is enjoyable towards the end.
Everything is rushed in Wolf's Rain, and little is explained even at the end. The true ending of the anime would leave me with the expression "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU." Thankfully, I watched the anime after the OVA's where released. The other major strength is the anime's ability to invoke strong feelings. I found myself caught up in the intense emotional moments, but still wishing I had more background on what exactly led up to them. The plot has many gaping holes that are not answered by until the very end, and even then you still have much to fill with your own imagination. The only purpose I would have to re-watch this anime is to piece the story together with back story. This anime gets a 3.5 out of 5 from me, based on the fact it would take me gaining previous knowledge to not be be able to have some semblance of the story. Despite the low rating, I encourage people to watch wolf's rain with an open mind and a clear head. However, if you are unwilling to invest time in a confusing anime, Wolf's Rain is not for you.

haven't heard anything yet either, but i'll be sure to post something as soon as I find out. Im hoping for a late fall release myself, it makes no freakin sense to me why they would stop after just 26 episodes... there is so much more canon available still.

Yamamoto is srs bsns.
I like how he was pretty much like.. "you're joking right?"
And how you didn't even see him swing and Allon was cut in half.
The animation was incredibly well done as well this week... too bad it's back to fillers.
New chapter was a pretty big shocker. (SPOILERS) *highlight*
About time the damn vaizards showed up... srs wtf at Wonderweiss being so powerful, although I pretty much expected it since there had to be a reason Aizen created him after already having the other Espada's (him being extremely powerful, being able to bring back the dead etc.)
