You can take protein and creatine together of course they wont affect each other, most creatine can even be mixed with the protein shake especially if its powder creatine.
Usually creatine is taked in cycles:
Week 1: Creatine loading phase (20g/day) your dosification is sounds correct to me.
Week 2 to 4: Creatine maintenance phase (5-10g/day) after workout if that day you didnt work out you can take it in the morning.
Week 5 to 8: No creatine take.
Hope this helps you and theres a quite good creatine sticky post on teen forums.

I dont deal with cycling or loading creatine, I use neovar as the direction state.
If you are taking plain monohydrate it is so cheap you can load if you want. Some products loading would be stupidly expensive

for loading you need to split the dose 5g x4times a day for 5 days. then your cells are saturated.
and there is no need to cycle off creatine

Yes i agree 5 days would be enough but i believe that to cycle it off its really important. When you are on it for a certain ammount of time say for example 6-8 weeks at most your body gets accostumed to it. Your body produces creatine naturally and when you take it for that ammount of time it starts to stop the production of it, which makes no sence if what you are looking for is to increase the levels of creatine, thats why many people get off creatine for say 2-3 weeks before starting the cycle again or thats what i believe.
