NPC USAs Bikini category.... confusion
According to the entry form I downloaded from Lindsayproductions.com, it states that
"Bikini competitors must have competed in an NPC sanctioned event"
But I have read that Bikini competitors don't have to qualify and can show up for any national event in the year of 2009. Next year is when they require qualifying for a national event.
I also sent an email to NPC and was replied with "any show will do"
What is the deal here? I have 2 days to pay for registration or the fee goes up to $300 on top of the NPC membership fee.

Call the promoter of the show you're looking to do and speak with them directly. This way you're clear on the reqs

You can compete in ANY NPC event for 2009 in Bikini WITHOUT pre-qualifying. It is on the NPC official rules as well. Good luck!

I emailed Jon and I guess I DO have to compete in an NPC sanctioned event before I compete at the USAs. I guess I'm SOL . Can't take off 2 weekends in a row. So I hoping to enter the Sept. 12 show (my Bday)
Thanks everyone

Sorry I just saw this. Yes, you have to compete in an NPC show first. You don't have to get a qualifying placing. For example, if you place last, you can still do a National level show.

This is a very good thing because most of the regional show judging is so inconsistent. The national show judging seems to be following somewhat of a standard, but it is still unclear what the ideal physique is for this category. I was content for the most part with the placing at the Jr. Nationals.

Honey, it's still unclear what the ideal physique for Figure is and that's been around for years!
