2008/2009 Pictures (Noob, advice please)
Alright--So I haven't really joined the forums or introduced myself, but I've been browsing these forums lot. Here's my story, I'm 20, skinny guy around 110-120 lbs (haven't scaled myself in a while). Started going to the gym around late '08. Nothing fancy though, most of the time I'm in the gym doing random sh!t (though, whatever I do works out the area I want)
Used to take Creatine before/after until my friend inspired me (He was pretty swole without taking any supplements and I noticed my biceps were somewhat big, but they were as soft as pillows).
So, now I'm in my bulking process. Eating everything in sight. McDonalds almost daily. Here is my progress so far in the attachments. ( I love how the pictures lie sometimes, I see a six pack kinda forming, but in the mirror or in the light I see a definite two )
So bottom line, does it look like I gained weight? Can I get some advice on bulking cheaply ( money is hard these days )? I know it's eat everything you see, but my diet is like McDonalds everyday and I know this is coming back to bite me in the ass sooner or later. What areas do I look like I need improvement on? If you need my work out plan just ask, I didn't post it cause this thread is long enough anyways ( and seriously, I don't know what the **** is what in the gym. I just do **** till I'm tired ).
Tl;dr?? I need help, look at pictures, does it look like I gained weight, what areas need to be better, tell me whatever you know to bulk/gain mass/be more efficient in the gym.
Thanks-

Don't eat mcdy's everyday.
You should also have a set routine that works each part of your body. Working out until you're tired doesn't seem like it'll be that effectve depending on how quickly you get tired.
google cheap foods with alot of protein, such as tuna.

Yeah, I do have a routine that works out each part of the body, but the thing is it doesn't really change besides the order of days where I switch it up, I mean it DOESN'T change as in I've been at the same weights since '08. Is that even okay?

Looks lke you got a little bigger. I see your chest popped out more.
But you gained fat too, especially in your arms.

Do not eat McDonalds. You've got to eat clean foods. Just search around on this website, there are a lot of nutrition articles here. As long as you're pumping hard/eating clean, you'll be gaining some mass.

Yeah, I started benching pressing during the BEGINNING of '09. I was too p!ssy to try benching when I first started, but even now I bench like weak ass weights.

You have no idea what you are doing. You obviously have not seen results, i do not see any difference in your structure or physique. I suggest you cut out you "daily mcdonalds" thing you have going on. This is pumped with terrible stuff that is just putting trash in your body. These calories are not the same as calories that are found in good clean fats like peanutbutter, yogurt, and nuts. Try to eat those, also try to eat clean carbs, everything whole wheat nothing white. WW (whole wheat) noodles, brown rice, WW bread, yogurt, oats, oatmeal, and cheeses are good carbs and fats.
You should be on a weight gainer, stop spending 5 dollars a day "every day" on mcdonalds and go buy a tub of protein weight gainer. And maybe a creatine with a waxy maize.
I see no results in your pictures, one year waisted IMO. You need to learn to get a diet down. Doesnt matter how hard you lift of how much you can lift, it matters how much you eat and sleep, this is the ONLY thing that will make you grow. Also are you working out every day or are you doing 3 or 4 day splits? If you are working out more then 5 days a week, you are overtraining. You should only work out 3 or 4 days a week. You need 3-5 days for a muscle group to fully recover.

Yeah, I admit, I don't know sh!t about a proper diet lol. Uhm, I'm work out plan is like
Day 1: Biceps/Shoulders
Day 2: Triceps/Chest
Day 3: Legs/Abs
Day 4: Rest
And then I alternate.
I've always had a bad eating routine since I was kid, so I can't get those three square meals in everyday especially with school. So is it better to just keep eating small things like granola bars or peanut butter sandwiches throughout the day?

Not particularly. You need to be able to get a breakfast in. Get a protein powder, that will help you with getting in a good amount of protein in a day to day basis.
For breakfast have oatmeal, with egg whites, milk, and protein shake.
Have Chicken, pork, beef, or fish (can of tuna) for lunch and protein shake
Have another chicken breast, pork, beef, or can of tuna for snack at around 3 pm with protein shake.
Have 1 cup of oats before you work out (1 hour before) 1 banana and 1 yogurt
PWO- Protein shake immediately, creatine shake or other supplements
Dinner-Protein shake
late night, extra dinner and protein shake.
try this to start.

I have to say the banana and protein breakfast before is great! Every other meal always seams a bit heavy and I end up getting cramps, or gives me nausea which pisses me off when I'm like 3 sets in on the bench not even close to starting the treadmill. Question: (Sorry for thread jacking, but this might help the OP out) How many grams of protein is good to have after a workout? If I dont have a protein shake I normally eat those 20 gram protein powerbar's and it helps ive noticed.

Gaining quality weight is not about eating everything in sight. Eating McDonald's daily will help you can weight. However, it will not be quality weight. Begin eating properly.
Post a sample of your daily diet and workout regimine.

Seriously, I'm pretty ashamed about my daily diet, so I'm not even going to post it, but lately it's just been McDs. Typical full time asian college student studying his brains out and completely missing breakfast. I end up eating big lunches and dinners--but that's definitely not the way to go.
I'm planning to do some grocery shopping tonight and following JACKtheLUMBER`s written meal plan. See how that turns out. Throw in some PB sandwiches along the way.
I guess I could include back on my 3rd day.
