I'm planning on coming to Canada for the Winter season at the end of the year and was wondering if i could get some advice on where to work.
I'm going through a company who arranges the jobs before we leave Australia. I'm considering either going to Big White or Grouse Mountain.
I know that Grouse is pretty close to Whistler so i figure it would be a good location to be near the city and near a major ski resort!
I've heard alot of good stuff about Big White also - but not sure which part of Canada i want to be in as i havent been there before!
Any info would be appreciated!
Most of us are from the west end here so youll have to wait until a BC person pops up
Ughhh... I've had crazy allergies all summer. Turns out I'm allergic to the dog I adopted. He's been staying with my parents for a few weeks during which time I've felt fine. I went to their house this weekend, and the allergies started up again. And my parents have fallen in love with Gil, and spent all weekend telling me how they dote on him, how happy he seems, and wouldn't I like a nice little fawn-coloured whippet puppy for my birthday instead?
This sucks.

Sounds like you need a change up on your routines. To get a little "spark" back in your relationship with those weights

Both are GREAT resorts and have their own benefits, grouse is close to whistler, but you have to remember with the popularity of whistler, and being so close to Vancouver the cost of living is a little high, Big White is in the Okanagan, and this being my home I am more inclined to push it, its a smaller city but has all the benefits of its larger counterpart, Van city...

For the people in the Toronto area (Richmondhill specifically)
which gym should I go to?
Extreme fitness or Goodlife?
Virus - I go to Wynn Fitness - Yonge, North of Elgin Mills. Great club, not as packed as Extreme.

Hello everyone. Figured since I'm going to try and be a little more active on here to maybe boost my motivation that I've been losing, I might as well give a quick hello.
Living in Penticton and working out at "The Gym." Always been an Okanagan boy, moved up north to Mackenzie for a couple years but now I'm back and wanting to be better than ever.

That sucks...I'm starting to get more and more pumped as each workout comes due to results.
New can be good. Just dont push too many expectations right away right? Slow and steady and build that groove.

Awe, sorry to hear that! I have slight allergies to Chuck as well, after years with him though I think my body just adapted. Need to sweep lots!!
And speaking of allergies. I took Chuck camping with me, and I don't know what he got into, or what bit him..but his face was SO swollen he could hardly open his eyes. I was considering epi for the poor bugger because his nostrils were swelling shut!! He was moping around, soo pathetic and sad yet strangely cute and funny. He growled ALL night long at nature noises..fuuuuuuuuck I am tired.

Cost of living is a LOT LESS in Vancouver than in Whistler. Try for accommodation in North Vancouver where Grouse is the city's back yard so transportation will be no problem
