Angry Finding Balance in My Life

Soooo, yet again I've given up on competition probably for the year. Battling depression, med changes, weight gain from thyroid, and just being burnt out in the whole "bodybuilding regimine" I am moody all of the time and the thought of lifting makes me want to puke, not to mention crying this weekend at the gym in front of my hubby because I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE. A lot of the time I motivate everyone else and have no one to draw motivation off of for me. Missouri doesn't have a lot of really fit people that I look up to. I'm going to try and get into some power yoga and I just need some balance, not sure where to look. I have no other female bodybuilders to talk to to get me pumped up. I'm just plain ole' sick of everything

I feel your pain - I hate it when I break down crying at the gym.

I hope you find your balance that you are seeking and I hope the yoga helps. Please feel free to talk, will do my best to listen.

I will be revamping my bodyspace soon, but my hubby is trying to get me motivated again. Unfortunately(depending on how you look at it) I will be getting both knees injected next week. I'm hoping it will give relief. The other shot lasted almost a yr, which I know is almost unheard of. I've had MRIs done, and it shows nothing. I'm thinking it's hamstring tendonitis. Not really sure how to go about that.
Still trying to do the vegan thing to a point. I'm gonna have to ease back into eating some meat, because my body just doesn't react well anymore.
I'm going to write down my goals and plan of action tonight. There is still a chance for 3 more shows I could do this year.

I'm gearing towards a KS show in OCT plus we may be going to Costa Rica as well. There's some motivation right there! I'm going to start some what of the 300 workout since it's some meat and potatoes of working out. I've got spinning and kickboxing 1 day each this week and power yoga 3x per week. We always have to walk the dogs so there's a little extra activity. I've been adding a little chicken back into my diet, but I still cannot eat a lot at a time (blah) Today is 30 min walking or elliptical and a modified 300 workout. my diet when it's all said and done will be around 1700 cals. Pretty balanced and I will post pics

After years of eating a crap load of protein and becoming a vegan(for the most part) for about a month, I tried eating onlyl 4oz of chicken a day for the past 3 days. I got an upset stomach, not to mention stinking everyone out of the house, and I have totally decided not to eat any land animals anymore. I have more energy, I feel more regular I have no issues with cravings and I'm doing myself a favor. It's really not that hard to supplement protein. I will have had around 165 grams today and that's more than enough getting ready for a show. The only meat I've had today is 4oz of salmon. Eggs, tofu, protein powder, and PB are some of my sources.

I racewalked for 45 min this morning with my hubby, only to find someone's poor beagle on the road I picked her up and moved her into the grass....so sad
I taught an hr of kickboxing and will do about an hr of power yoga tonight.
Last night I attempted to do most of the 300 workout and boy was I whooped!!! Cardio was 25 min of run/walk and 10 min of moderate biking

I'm taking in about 1800 cals and switched to nutridiary.com instead of fitday because it was more detailed. I'm definately back on track and feel really good about what I'm doing, workout and diet wise.

Good weekend for the most part, we all got a little too much sun at the creek, but my hubby and I walked the dogs for about 45 min at a brisk pace Sat morning.

I will be walking/jogging today with 10 min warm up on the bike later. Still doing the 300 workout. I will write it down on what it entails. A client of mine is getting me started in Ashtanga yoga on Wed morning. I'll be meeting her at her house in the morning!! I'm pretty excited. Hopefully spinning tomorrow morning. My knees feel awesome. No tightness or fullness after the shots on Friday. I'm hoping this will last another year before having to get another one. I'm definately going to change my training to be much more balanced everywhere.

I'm trying to get my 11 yr old daughter into one of the yoga classes for kids this summer. She's pretty excited to get into exercise.

Nutrition is still pretty good, I had about 3 good size bloody mary's and I know that's a crap load of sodium. I'm feeling the bloatness today
