How come my triceps get bigger but not my biceps?
I started lifting and my max was 35lbs for triceps, but I worked for 2 months and I can do 75 lbs tricep curls no problems.
But I had 25lbs max for bicep curls and 2 months later it's still at 25..

lifting more weight does not equate to bigger muscles though!

Triceps are naturally stronger and bigger than your biceps.
Maybe you're not pushing your bis hard enough?
Also, try more multi-angular workouts for bis, you should see big strength gains when you involve all parts of the muscle.

Tricep makes up 70% of your arm
Bicep 30%

as 1 dude said triceps make up 2/3s of your arm. your triceps get stronger because there are more exercises that use triceps. like: bench press, and military press. any pressing in other words. only bicep stuff you get is from pulling exercises. you can push a lot more weight than you can pull, thus saying triceps get stronger quicker because you work with more weight than pulling motions like bent over rows, and pulldowns/pullups.
you might also be over training your biceps, i wouldnt do them more than twice a week.

This.
Your triceps take up more of your upper arm mass. The bicep is a pretty small muscle group and shouldn't even have to be hit that much if your hitting your back hard. Thats not an excuse not to train them, but just make sure you don't overtrain them.

well say you curl 40 pounds and bench 200 pounds.
if your curl goes to 50 pounds, that's a 25% increase. to get the same % increase on bench you'd have to go up to 250 pounds. so im guessing its just the fact that the 5 pound intervals are harder to reach when lower weight is applied for lifts like curls.
