i prefer to have a good number of straight friends, as when my partner and i met, all of his friends became my friends--and it felt separatist, segregated--where everyone i seemed to know and do anything with outside of work was gay. and the parties to get old, and the sex parties afterward--watching the other half of your friends one by one turn positive... my partner has a lot of friends in the gay ghetto, but i have to remind him of what these guys do to get by--and don't get me wrong, i love them to death and would do anything for our friends--but a lot of them don't work, or work nights doing erotic massage or as male escorts--and i'd just rather spend at least as much time around other professionals who have similar educational backgrounds as me--as i like conversation to go a little deeper than "see that blonde over there, isn't he hot?!" it is like all that they live for. though i do admire them in a way, as they do really seem to live each day as though it is their last--but enjoying life does not mean that you have to take x for several days straight, and having week long orgies then sleeping for the next week and having to intervene when someone loses it--from post partying neurotransmitter depletion related depression... gets old pretty fast. or having to hide the friend who is all g'ed out at the beach--until 4 hours or so have passed and they come to not remembering anything of the past 4 hours after they took their last dose. it gets old real quick.

If you're using a condom then the water based lubes are all pretty much the same. If you two are monogamous and not using condoms, then I like the silicone based lubes like Swiss Navy.

edit: actually the silicone based lubes may be condom safe as well. Research it to be sure though (it's been a while since I used condoms)!

Thanks for the advice bro. We are soon to be married and monogamous. We just picked up a silicone based lube but have not tried it out yet. Before we used WET but it sucked cause I had to keep reapplying it.

Silicone is safe with latex condoms. In the world of chemistry, like dissolves like. So you can't use silicone lube on silicone toys. Vasoline being a Petroleum shouldn't be used with latex (petroleum products). As long as the they are not the same substance no problems should occur.

Water based or spit is good if you like friction. Silicone is probably better though for her. Get her drunk it might help.
