OP you are more than welcome to post an entry in the official rankings thread, Jason works very hard to keep it organized and thorough, to start another thread like this would be ignore his effort.
Good luck with your training

Online bench contest.
I suggest that this contest be powerlifting style.
Pause until you get a signal to press.
Any time the bar drops after the press is started, the press doesn't count.
The ENTIRE bar must be visible including the sides so no side lifting.
No gear besides wraps and a belt if you want. No shirts.
Butt flat, feet flat on floor, no shuffling.
Complete lockout and wait for a RACK signal.
I can do 425 touch and go, but the last time I paused I only got 330. We'll see.

Huh?
A good general rule says you would probably be able to pause 10-15 lbs under your touch-and-go. You are reporting 95 lbs under? Again, something doesn't sound right.

This is a bit silly. The person with the biggest bench now is still going to have the biggest bench in two weeks. If you want to run a contest how about make it the biggest % increase on your bench over a longer time frame (say 6 months), that gives everyone a chance.

I looked at your profile, you have strong stats. My deadlift at my last comp was 585 and my squat is weak, it's only 365, lol.

I'm not giving you heat or negativity. I'm trying to figure something out. Thanks.
Let's see if I got this right? On May 6th you hit 315 lbs at a BW of 185 lbs.
You think you can increase your max by 65 lbs in about 2 months (given the fact that your bodyweight is now around 203lbs, an 18 lb increase).
Is this correct?

Bench claim.
The last time I paused was also 3 years ago. I was saying it has been a while since I paused. I am with Chris. I forgot about the forums negativity. He shouldn't get so much heat.

Correct. I was at 8% body fat at the time and low carbing (when benched 315), I'm now back to normal and my bench is massive (or decent). That and I have benched large numbers before so it's easy to regain that.

Well, when you come on here with experienced lifters such as yourselves, wouldn't you expect at least a bit of critique, especially since you're trying to promote a competition with competitive lifts, that we all perform and know the nuances of very well?
What do you say?

Don't worry about it, lift strong, lift heavy and lets do what we had planned. I will see you on July 3rd, and you'll be a year older .. We will get pumped and make some solid gains no matter what. I'm still positive!! Tomorrow is leg day, I hate leg day.

Ok. Thanks.
Mine is 250 lbs. at ~180 lbs. BW (as is in my Signature).
I'll try 255 lbs at ~180 lbs. BW in a week or so. That will be my all-time 1RM if I hit it.
Good luck to you.

Yeah, I will be a year older. I am pushing 30 and it is starting to push back. Punish the legs tomorrow. Tomorrow is back for me.

Sounds good. I'm going to use the forum search and see if I can find this bench ranking thing you guy are talking about. Sounds more like a long term goal though, I like these short term goals better. You know, even if I only increase my bench by 10 pounds that's still a win in my book.

Sorry I crapped out on your guys, I hit the sack and went to bed. 30 isn't old man - This year I want to make 31 be the new 21, lol.

Yeah. I see you man. Thanks. I was trying to search and man a lot of Video threads. Since I started this I will finish it out since it only lasts until July 3rd and then I will move into one of your guys threads. If you can hook me up with a link that would be appriciated. I will check the sticky for the other one though.

I've never worn anything for my bench at any comps that I've been in or any other time. I don't see the point in cheating it. I think chains are best to bring the bench up.

It is the rankings list. To be considered legit it must be validated by a video or meet results. Some will only consider meet results or video from a meet valid. I still list everyone that posts but have a validation colume for those that want to show that they are not e-stating.

Despite how pathetic my bench is, I'm in.
