Increasing vascularity *pics*
For so long now I have been wondering what diet plan/workout or supplementation is required to increase vascularity. I know this sounds weird (coming from a girl and all) but I love the look of veins popping out, especially in the arms.
Here's some pictures that show what I mean

You're not alone! I'm not an expert and I'm sure others will correct me, but vascularity comes with strength. Diet and having less fat play a role as well. I have notice increased vascularity lately esp. in my shoulders. Shoulder press has increased. Can't wait 'till the bicep veins pop out

Vascularity just comes with time and decreased bodyfat. Just be patient and keep working hard...they will start to pop!

I've been lucky enough to have my bicep veins pop out shortly after i started training. Only one on each bicep.
I will admit, i will watch myself workout in the mirror while doing upper body workouts just to see those veins. I find it very motivating and helps to get those last couple of reps in.
They come out on my forearms and i've got one on my shoulder that loves to show itself too.

More muscle and less bodyfat. Those are some of the leanest pics I've seen of Jamie Eason.
I really hate how fake boobies look on super lean girls.

I just wish they wouldn't get shot in such nasty. slutty poses and underwear, it's gross. And they look awesome, they shouldn't cheapen themselves like that. Anyhoo, just me rambling...
To OP, as above, it's all a matter of having more muscle demanding a good blood supply and pressing your veins outward, and less fat over the top.

Hey thanks everyone I guess gaining more msucle would definitley lower my bodyfat. I have a low bodyfat but its mainly cause im thin/tiny. Would you say that doing more reps and less weight or less reps and more weight would be better??

i thought low reps in the 6-8 range with 3-4 sets of lifting heavy was the way to go for building muscle. ultimately it comes down to what works for you.

Lift HEAVY - end of story. You wanna gain muscle, go heavy which means lower reps. You shouldn't be in the 12-15 range if you're looking to gain mass.

Me too! I haven't been training that long and I have two veins that run across my biceps. They only come out if I have been using my arms a lot--not just during training but sometimes at work too.
And yeah I watch myself in the mirror doing bicep curls. I wish my arms always looked pumped like that when I'm just walking around.

Excluding, of course, the 20-rep squats which have been known to add a good deal of mass to your quads

She is young and already very thin and already underweight. Please don't encourage her to lean up right now. As a woman, I know most girls who hear that will think it means they need to lose weight or that it means they are fat. If she lost much more body fat she would be skin and bones. Of course, I'm no expert and am new, but I think just packing on a lot of muscle will help her get what she wants. I remember my brother being so excited when he got his first vein popping out and he was not overly lean. He wasn't heavy, but he wasn't super tight either. But maybe it is different for men. Also, maybe she would want to lose some more fat once she's gained some muscle but that would put her at risk for losing her period and she may not want that. If you want to increase vascularity, you'll also want to maintain a high fluid intake. I don't have big muscles but when I am pregnant and have such an increased volume of fluid in me, I get veins popping out all over.

You need to gain muscle to get your veins to show, concentrate on gaining some lean mass, if you diet til you get vascularity your gonna be so skinny you'll look sick.

besides what other people have said, i would say supplement with l-arginine or an amino complete capsule. also walnuts, peanuts and almonds contain fairly high amounts of l-arginine.
for increasing vascularity in the arms forearm and bicep exercises along with cardio are key.

Vascularity is largely genetic. I have showing veins in my arms and one in my abs/pelvis even offseason. I have friends who never get vascular, despite single digit competition bodyfat levels.
Sodium also can play a role in visible vascularity.
