Chest workout with implants

I am planning on getting implants next Spring and I know that there are certain chest exercises that you are not supposed to do with them because it can tear the muscles and cause the implants to slip or move out of place. However, I have seen MANY women that have them and still have great bodies without losing their muscular chests. What do you do? How you can you keep your chest looking as good as the rest of your body without sacrificing the solidity and placement of the implants?

I have had my implants (under the muscle) for 3 years. I was not given any restrictions by my surgeon. I do anything and everything I did before. The implant does shift on some chest exercises, but it's not going anywhere.

I have had mine now for a few years, under the muscle, and I dont really have a problem. Although they do jump on certain excercises they are not going anywhere. I do have problems when doing abs excercises on the incline bench, where you have to put your arms over your head and pull your knees to your chest and every now and then on excercises that require me to pull myself up with my arms over my head. It usually only happens on one side and I have just learned my limitations. This may not be a problem for you but it is a risk that you take. I would not say I feel limited and would do it again in a heart beat!! Good luck!

Also try to get them the earliest next year that you can or maybe in the fall so they will be ready for bikini season!

wow great thread, I too am serious considering some implants next spring/summer (once I'm down to a very lean bf.. sadly the real 38 d's go by bye )

Under the muscle? this is what im considering (based on my research etc), however do they move ( and I guess stay where they moved too)? I heard the only reason theyd move is if your doctor made too big of a pocket for the implant.

the only restrictions placed on me were for about 4-6weeks post surgery (under the muscle). Apart from that my surgeon said it was fine to go back to my normal chest workouts. Sometimes I feel a slight twinge but nothing that a good amount of stretching can't fix! You'll generally be able to tell what exercises do/don't limit you. My biggest problem is actually lying t-bar rows because there's such a huge amount of pressure on my chest, I always have to try and adjust my boobs to find the most comfortable position (which probably raises a few eyebrows)!

mine are over the muscle

because the surgeon was concerned about them squaring off when I flexed (I used to be an exotic dancer). I have 620ccs on the left and 660ccs on the right (evening out my slight lopsideness before hand) non textured over the muscle and I can still flex my chest and hit a side chest pose pretty effectively.

I had restrictions for the first 4 or 5 weeks, but since then I can do whatever lifts I want.
