What are the best supplements to be taking?
OK Im sure there have been post like this before and Im sure its all subjective with training, diet, experience etc....But there has got to be some supplements that everyone has the same opinon on. We are all on here to get to the best physical condition of our lifes so lets quit bullsh*tting one another and be straight forward. What works and whats a F**KIN waste. Its time for everyone to quit hyping products cause they have read something in FLEX or MD or cause we see ads that all the pros are taking it great for them all the ads in mags are of new products and most pros have had their physiques for years upon years so lets quit kidding one another. Now enough of me complaining haha drop some of your favorite supplements and why. Thanks for everyones time best of luck with everyones goals and everyones training.

I'm not one for shilling but I have used Universal supps since day 1 and will continue to do so. Their products are highest quality, backed by science, wallet-friendly, and have an airtight guarantee if you don't get results.

A few supplements that I recommend are EAS Whey
cause whey is a building block of growth it is well priced and it has 23g of protien per scoop of 30gs so that means there are only 7 grams of filler so you are getting a pretty high quality product. I would also say ANIMALPAK is a good which a lot may think it is a overload of vitamins and minerals that you wont use up if you are training hard dieting hard or just going balls to the wall you need the extra vitamins and minerals in your reserves to help you recover and grow. Another product I would recommend is Superpump250 is a pretty good product servs as a good preworkout product decent pump gives you energy and good price. The amount of arginine is fairly high and thats what you need for the pump you might be able to get away with just using pure arginine for a great pump and a good price. Last but not least amino mass by twinlabs great product to sip on during your workout to speed up your recovery and the growth of the muscles as soon as they are getting torn down.

Really the main reason I take them is because they give me more energy than I've ever had before. Maca is another supp that energizes me that I love as well.
Also it really helps my IBS. But yes, massive energy and mental focus is the reason I take them.
True, they are great detoxers, very nurtitious, etc etc.... but if I didn't feel such a night and day difference I wouldn't even bother with them regardless how good for me they are.

the only things you need are:
-whey protein
-creatine
-multi vitamin
-EFA
that is it, everything else are just a waste of money, if you need an igniter drink two cups of coffee that should do it.

I dunno, I'm not even taking whey anymore, doing 10 - 12 grams of spirulina a day and 5 - 8 of chlorella and I'm more ripped and muscular now than when I was taking whey. And I haven't even worked out in a month.

sup?ple?ment (spl-mnt)
n.
1. Something added to complete a thing, make up for a deficiency, or extend or strengthen the whole.
I don't understand why so many ppl misuse supplements. As the definition states a supplement is used to complete a thing, so many ppl solely depend on supplements not only to complete a thing they use them to ENTIRELY complete a thing.
Supplement companies are making billions because so many of us are misinformed about the use of them.
Example: there was one young man on this forum that thought he should consume 200g of Whey per day to meet his daily protein goal well needless to say he was consuming close to 400g a day because he wasn't calulating his diet into his goal. Not only is this not good for you it can also get pretty expensive. So with that being said to answer the OP there isn't a best supplement to be take.
I suggest you take a few days or maybe weeks and document everything in your diet and then incorporate the supplements were needed.

400g of protein? How big was he? I was was around that though while I was bulking. That was at 235lbs though and very little of it came from supplements.

I believe he was around 150. 400g of protein daily is just an overkill imo. The body can only absorb so much protein a day what it dosen't absorb will be stored as fat or just released during urination. You are a perfect example of using supplements correctly. Too many ppl live by them, don't get me wrong I use them myself, but only when and where needed.

Your body will use as much protein as it needs depending on the training muscle mass etc....Some people use the protein overload to add extra weight and still stay lean if you bloat easy from carbohydrates or add fat easy when taking in yoiur high quality fats your body can respond positively to the protein overload. I use a very high protein diet when cutting and I overload on protein that way when my body is at a low fat level and I am training harder and doing more cardio my body has something to burn and protein burns fast so when you take it a large amount you burn a lot and still allow enough to hang around to help support muscle repair and growth. As for the Supplement comment supplements do complete, but for those who are training harder then the average person or bigger then the average person a body requires a lot more but that I'm sure is already realized. So before anyone tries to explain what supplements are lets get back to the topic of what the best supplements are for bulking muscle not creating an average joe. Thanks again for all the post and keep training hard

As you said diet and training are most important, and alot of people seem to forget that. As far as supplements go id start with a good protein supplement unless you are getting enough protein in your diet already, which most people do not. Second you could look into a good creatine/no stack. Size on/Super pump 250 or Green magnitude/White flood are both great choices. You could also look into a natural test booster such as Mass fx, activate xtreme, or an AA based product like X-factor. Do some more research and good luck.
