walk/jog in morning

would exercising (walk or jog) first thing in the morning without any breakfast be a good way to burn fat? i heard that its one of the best times to burn fat because your body will use fat as an energy source and it will keep your metabolism faster during the day. jus wanna know if this is true, sounds like it makes sense cuz blood sugar levels are low, jus woke up from a 8-12 fast so no carbs for energy so fat would sound l;ike a good source of energy at the time.

I wouldn't use it to burn fat but it does get the blood flowing and put you in a good mood. So I'd definitely do it. Any benefits for fat loss would be secondary.

well its a cut so you'll probably lose muscle regardless of the walk or jog, I'd walk though, to keep the intensity low.

I used to jog a few miles in the morning with empty stomach. Now i need to have something in my stomach before i do my cardio in the morning. Plus i feel much better throughout the day now.

It will probably help kick start your morning. Get blood flowing and your appetite up for breakfast.

Just make sure you have something after you workout. dont skip breakfast entirely. thats where problems start.

If you search some of the threads your will find opinions for both eating and not eating before cardio. I can tell you that I personally havesome oats and a whey protein shake before I do a run in the am. I have seen some posts that say you should have a protein shake before and after the am run so you don't lose any muscle.

your body is not going to eat itself after a measly 1 night sleep, don't look too much into fasted cardio, it's not worth the extra calories researching if it is better or worse

some cardio > no cardio

I would say that just doing the cardio itself is far, far more important than when you do it. If fasted cardio in the morning will work for you and your schedule, go for it. If it's going to make you hate doing cardio and be more inclined to skip it, then do it at another time.
