Its not really a goal weight. Its how you look on stage with people staring at you in that little suit! Have you had your body far checked? If I am right, most figure girls show between 10 an 12 % . But, someone else might have a different idea about that.

I'm 5'8 and at my first show weighed approximatley 138 and had about 12% bf. My second show which was 5 weeks later I was 133 and 9% bf. I looked so much better my second show.

I"m 5'8 and I compete around 138 at 7% or 143 at 9%. You need to get pinched and find out what your bf is and then figure out what you weight should be between 8-10% and that should be your goal.

I am not an expert, but the first question, IMO, you should consider would be whether you have enough muscle mass to compete.

The electronic (impedence) body fat tests are NOT accurate. They can be way off depending on electrolyte levels, water, etc. The easiest way to get an accurate reading would be the 9-point caliper test, which is usually offered at most gyms. They do have caliper tests using less than 9 different test sites, but the more places they pinch, the more accurate the test results would be. The most accurate body fat test would be the dunk tank, but that can be pricey.

Get pinch measured by someone who is experienced.
Do make sure you have adequate muscle and low enough bf to compete.

for figure it could be anywhere from 8-15%. depends on the person and where they look their best. i think i came in around 11% and did awesome in my show.

those are not that accurate. but 23% isnt to high, you have what10 weeks? thats lots of time. hit the weights HARD and get proper feedings in check.
good luck
