IMO no, but give it a try.
it was horrible the last time I tried it, much worse then tuna. even had the little bones inside(they were soft though, so edible). not even sure if it was really salmon lol(label said it was), forgot to read the ingredients.

That is why you select the boneless & skinless one to avoid the scary contents.

the canned salmon i've tried in the past looked like dog ****. there was all of the fatty parts & bones/guts; no real meat whatsoever.
i can't remember the brand, though.
i was really dissapointed. 'cause it looked so great on the label: all meaty & not gross. *sigh* it had to be over $2 for sure @ safeway, too.
edit: now that i remember, i tried a different brand just a few months ago. & it was the complete opposite: it was all meat; no garbage. & it was cheaper, too. i found it in the discount/almost expired container @ a local grocery store.

From my experience, the Chicken of the Sea brand of canned pink salmon is hit or miss. Sometimes it's all guts and bones, other times it's nice and clean.

Got a Sam's Club membership?
http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...=5&item=402632
I haven't bought any other brand besides Member's Mark and it is absolutely delicious. Clean, tasty...makes great salmon burgers, etc. Much, much better than canned tuna IMO.

Love canned salmon, never disappoints. The ones I buy are pretty expensive though -- $2 a can, precooked. I think it's a company called "Atlantic Salmon"...
--And yeah, I bought mine at Sam's Club.

I bought it canned for convienience lol, I don't want to "clean" my canned salmon, I might as well buy a whole fish.
Tuna is much more reliable.

You can buy the salmon either as:
-sections of fish (with bones, scales)
-cleaned, separate pieces, much like canned tuna
The second option is way better than canned tuna.

Trader Joe's sells some canned salmon that's wild caught, skinless, boneless, and has no added sodium. Great stuff.
