Is the shack good? I saw someone reading it on the plane the other day and thought it looked it interesting. I cannot buy another book though, my list of to read books (that I already own) is like 15 long!
If I could get myself to read in my free time rather than zone out to the tv, it would be shorter.
Hope you had a good weekend!

Yeah..I read it awhile ago..just brushing up for book club on Thursday, so I don't sound like a moron trying to discuss it...lol
WEnt to the mall with mom today..she got me some early birthday clothes, since all of my summer clothes have..umm....shrunken??? lol..I'd love to be able to get back into some of my 6s or 8s...I hate being in double digits...I got some cute stuff though..they had a cookout, so I scored some leftover grilled chicken
I had an ok workout...my bench is still pretty weak...I get to 80# and that's about my limit...
MEALS:
1: whey, yogurt, berries, flaxseed
2: brown rice wrap, egg whites/tuna, LF cheese, olive oil, veggies
3: turkey, veggies, evoo
4: whey, greek yogurt, berries, natty PB
Back to work tomorrow...walking in the morning with Bailey and hitting the gym after work

Hey Tara!! How are you doing? I will have to check out that book... I've heard so many people say it's good!
80# sounds like a great number on bench for me! I could barely do 80# at my best lol.

Lol - I always get confused when you guys say BBQ.
To us (at least, to me) .. a BBQ is/was/ and always has to do with BBQ SAUCE (ie: ribs, pork, etc..)
A cook out / grill gives the idea of .. chicken, hamburgers, corn on the grill, baked beans, chips, etc..
A little different, but me thinks in Oz .. BBQ = cookout?

When I say BBQ I mean anything that is cooked on the BBQ. Not usually ever with BBQ sauce! lol...
Ya some of my summer clothes mysteriously shrunk in my closet all winter too
Bench is my weak point too. I feel after all these years I should be able to do more. I wonder sometimes if its a mental barrier of being scared of getting stuck under the bar.

So then the BBQ you refer to is the actual cooking device? Grill ??

All this controversy..lol..well, we used to call it a weiner roast..lol..that brings up lots of other images as well! But weiner roast=real fire and cooking hotdogs and marshmallows on sticks..
7 days left with the kids!!!
I'm headed to the gym here in a bit..just catching up on the Hills from last night..Drew and I watch it to laugh..it's so incredibly stupid...The Cavs are on tonight..they NEED to win this game!
So, my cleaning job IS starting after all..next week. I"m trying to find another PT job too...not sure where..nobody seems to be hiring. PHil decided he's going back to school early to start lifting and b/c his friends are there, so I'll be keeping his dog sooner than I thought. It needs some obedience school..he likes to bite!!
FOOD TODAY:
1: whey, yogurt, berries, flaxseed
2: chicken, avocado, lettuce
3: chicken, olive oil, lettuce
4: whey, yogurt, banana, oats (prewo)
5: brown rice wrap, egg whites, low fat cheese, veggies

Hey guys...8 week Emma check in today...I was 153# when we started..158.4# today..I've stuck around 1800 calories this week..workouts have been strong..cardio endurance is improving..I"m still seeing the naturopath..my energy is better, nails are growing faster and are stronger, digestion/bowel stuff is getting more regular..so things ARE happening..I just need to "stay the course", be consistant and not be tempted to try something "drastic"..that's always what I do..not enough success so I jump from plan to plan and never give them time to work..
I'm going back to my endo for some updated bloodwork, so we'll see how the hormone levels are looking
I'm going for a full body workout and some cardio here in a bit..I think then I"m going to take the next 4 days off of lifting...been tired..muscles not recovering well...I can just tell it's time.
I can't afford Emma right now, so I'm thinking of trying this lifting program..it's a 12 week thing and I really like John Berardi's stuff
http://www.precisionnutrition.com/me...ead.php?t=2627
It has a lot of different exercises that I"ve never done and I think it would be good to give my body a change
I'm going to stick to bodyweightx12 and give it a week or 2 more to see if things start happening...I'll be on summer break, so I'm planning on getting in a lot more movement..

I take it you don't approve? I think his general points are pretty good, albeit common sense
1. Eat protein at every meal
2. Eat veggies at every meal
3. Drink lots of water
4. Add in healthy fats
5. Starchy carbs PWO and fruit, yogurt, veggies, etc. at other times.
Pretty standard, but good to follow...I think the workout looks good...won't be following his "diet" stuff persay

6 days left with the kids!!!!
Still looking for a PT job..I wish I lived closer to my school..could teach some private lessons

Mixing things up always keeps it fun! And bootcamp type of workouts are great! You feel so energized afterwards.
Good to hear things are on the up and up - energy, nails and digestion!

Hi Tara, I love doing my cardio in a group fitness class. I tend to zone out and slack off if i am doing anything other than HIIT on my own. It helps too that I work at the gym cause my all my "show off" tendencies come to the fore

Hehe I am the same.... I have to be th fastest, fittest, strongest!
Perhaps look into doing more of that kind of cardio Tara? If it was a hard workout, it means your other cardio workouts may be lacking a bit....
Have a good weekend!

Wow, that should spice things up with a bootcamp class!! I have never taken one, but I've heard they are super hard. You'll have to let us know how it goes, and if you get better at them as time goes by!
Have a great weekend, Tara!
