Complete newbie looking for help
Hey everyone, please excuse any wierd english as it's not my first language.
For the past couple years I've been in poor shape I would say, ate a lot, little to no physical activity.
When I turned 17 a couple months ago, I decided it was definitely time to get in shape, but obviously I had no clue what I was doing. I figured the most important thing was just to commit to it, and put in the effort, so I have been eating less and more healthily since then on the whole, but I'll come back to that.
I decided I would alternate every day between cardio and general strength training just to get in the habit of working out for 30 mins a day. On cardio days I would do 1 set of running up the 5 and a half flights of stairs in my building , full sprint, then jogging back down a total of 6 times, 2-3 minute rest and then another set of 6.
On so-called "strength" days, I would do a whole bunch of sets of various things, 45 second rest between everything : 3 sets of 25 squat thrusts , 3 sets of 12 push-ups , 3 sets of 20 sit-ups with legs in the air (bent) and crossed, 2 sets of 20 leg-lifts while lying on my back, 60 second plank on elbows and 45 second plank on each side.
I've been doing that routine for just about a month and a half now and am proud to say that even though the cardio leaves me feeling like I'm going to lose a lung, I haven't missed a day. 2 weeks ago I replaced the stair running with some outdoor HIIT : 2 minute decent run , 5 sets of 30 second all-out sprinting and 60 second run , 2 minute cooldown jog.
I'll very soon be recieving some adjustable dumbells + barbells soon, I'm afraid a gym is out of the question due to my location and having class from 8 am to 6 pm every day.
I'd just like to know how I should transition from this current situation into an actual weight-lifting workout, and if what I'm doing is a decent start or not. Tips on over all eating would be great to.
I also am trying to figure out my body fat % but I don't appear to have a scale....
In any case, thank you very much for any help and replies!

I only ever drink 100% pure fruit juices (from markets) or water as it is, I'm assuming that's fine.

Definitely a great first step. Easy (and cheap) to follow.
