Thanks, bud... yeah, was good. Weather was actually warmer back in VA, but I got to see some buds from when I lived out there. Got a little bit of time on Black's Beach, but not enough that I look anything other than my usual non-tan self.

I have a story but there's nothing to bring the blush of shame to any reader's cheek, so you can remove your safety goggles.

My adventures on Caturday night have finally yielded some results. I met a man named Brian. Good-looking fellow nearing 40 (could pass for 32), and we talked A LOT and danced a little. Turns out we have a great deal in common and I swear sometimes he's just like me, in the way of over-explaining or over-detailing things. We went out on an actual date last night. It was actually during the daytime, but let that pass.

We went to a new restaurant for noms and enjoyed a good early dinner. The mall was nearby and he wanted an iced coffee from Starbucks, so we went, and walked about. Cruised some guys in the Abercrombie & Fitch store, and the Hollister store. (I am too old for that store.) Mall closed early, so we left. Went to a thrift shop just for lols, and he found some things he can use for his art. (He's a sculptor and makes art out of junk such as old keyboards.) Our date ended by 7 and I went home quite happy. No sex. Maybe later. I still don't know what scenes he's into. He seems to like me too. I enjoyed spending time with him.

This seems like my first chance at an actual boyfriend. At least he can answer a phone and return a message, unlike Roger who shall remain nameless. I nexted his ass like you told me to. I don't know what I should do if I see him again, but I like Brian enough to think that I don't care if I don't see Roger again. I feel very good this morning.

PS - saw our friend mntbikeguy in the misc yesterday!

We hung all w/ each other most of the time. At the bar, we kinda did our own thing but it seriously felt I was hanging out w/ one of my good friends. There was no akwardness/drama.

Naw... in SoCal I pretty much only like Long Beach's Pride. It's the first of the season so everyone is actually stoked to be there and to get outside. Great location and it pulls the coolest guys from LA, OC, IE, & SD.

The rest of the year's stuff in SoCal is just the same local folks doing the same stuff (LA is just WeHo guys, SD is the Hillcrest crowd, etc). You never get the cross-section that Long Beach offers.

yea ive only been to Long Beach Pride and its pretty awesome. i want to go to LA Pride too. and yea i heard the rest arent as good as LBP. where are you from? SD? did you go to LBP this year?
