whoa. i feel like i haven't updated forever. in reality, i haven't been neglecting exercise/eating right. it's been less, but i've still held the mentality, "MAKE the time."

and here's my exciting news! i upped the weights at the gym today! hooray! here it is:

leg press 90x8x3
hip abduction 40x8x3
row 50x8x3
overhead pulldown 50x6x3
abdominal 55x8x3
back extension ?x8x3
chest press 30x8x3
tricep cable pressdown 40x8x3
barbell curl 30x8x3
leg extension 30x8x3
prone leg curl 30x8x3

so...yeah, i'm trying the 6-8 reps with a heavier weight now. and i know, i know, yay for 30 lbs (i was getting tired at the end), but i added 10 pounds to most of the earlier exercises, so i'm excited for my little victory

i will log more soon, graduation is next friday, after all!

vanillasie, that was a definite eyeroll moment for me: looking at my log thinking, "seriously?" here i try to promote the idea of getting nutrients from a variety of sources. lol, what happened there?

miranda, hey, maybe i was doing the apple diet. or is that too last year (it's bananas now, right?)

vanillabn, i actually just discovered scallops, but they are amazing. the trick is cooking them ever so slightly!

tlstot, congrats on being done! for now, it is a slight break (and you know how badly we need those breaks!)

turned in my buddhism paper at 10 am. did my kabbalah exam at 3pm. studied for organic chem in between and hit the gym! with all this getting done, i can finally start getting back on track. btw, my macros have been...not great. but my food choices are healthy. blue cheese cole slaw is ridiculously good: boil your vinegar, pour it over regular cole slaw and top with blue cheese. the heat+the cheese gives it an awesome kick

oh and the 50m treadmill? i owe it to trance music, a neglected genre, but i have to love it for the fact that i went a full 20 minutes over intended workout time and didn't notice.

holy crap i am done with everything in three days....

To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other.
