Well being married it's been a while. You get so caught up in life that taking the time out for a date night just doesnt seem to happen very often

. To me.... I would love for the hubby to take me to a dinner and a movie once in a while. That to be would be great. To him though a movie is a waste of money. I dunno what that is all about cause I dont see it hurting anything once in a while. Thats alright though..... we find other things to do to occupy our time.

Ten years...but that's only because I was dumb and stuck with an unfulfilling relationship for that long. I fixed that though

nice..its hard to walk away from someone after being together for that long even if things aren't ideal.

Same. For two reasons mostly, 1) I've never wanted a girlfriend/relationship until I get my career in line, have investments/savings, live in my own place, etc, and 2) Because I feel that just about EVERY girl my age (22) what I meet worth dating is already in a committed relationship.

Also I'm not the type of guy to actively chase girls everyday just for the sake of it or in hopes of getting laid. The only way I'm going to hang out with a female is if we have stuff in common and are compatible "Friends". I've only had four close friends that were females in my entire life, I suppose the first two could have been "Girlfriends", be we were young and that type of thing wasn't really on our minds. I passed up a few good opportunities to date other girls that I sorta regret, but I know for sure it would have never lasted anyways.

Sorta sucks, but that's life...

Jeez.... 13 years? I had a boyfriend a couple of years back but we never went on a date - heck no one but us knew we were in a relationship because he didn't want anyone to know. Hence why after about 2 months it fizzled.

So, at least 12 - 13 years. I would like to go on a date but guys only want to be my friend.

Not to stray from the original qquestion, but what do you think constitutes a date? Because I have been with my boyfriend for about 5 months, and we go out a lot, but we don't plan it ahead of time or make a big deal out of it. We just sit around asking each other "What do you want to do?" until we bang and then go out.

Wow. I was discussing this with two girlfriends of mine earlier (one had a date tonight, another just got a boyfriend) and realized that the last time I went on a date was when I was still in a serious relationship, back in November.

I'm not on the dating market right now, honestly -- I don't feel like going on dates with people who I know are not right for me (I believe it isn't right to lead people on and that if I am only interested in friendship to come right out and say that before any false hope is developed) and I am not ready for another long-term relationship after being in one for 3.5 years previously.

Its been a month or so for myself but that should change this coming Thursday. Have a 1st date planned that includes a great concert. Should be a lot of fun and hopefully lead to more dates down the road.
