not to be negative but it looks like a few people have lost quite a bit of muscle mass through the transformation. Not bashing but there is a difference between a healthy cut, and straight up deprivation and muscle catabolism. I'd be pissed if I lost all that muscle I worked so hard to build

The transformation campaign has had a very positive impact on my life. It has helped me maintain energy at home and improved work performance on the job. I have two little girls so any extra energy I have definitely is helpful. Most of my life I have been active and in good shape. When we began to have children everyone told me it would be difficult to maintain my workouts. I did not agree, but sure enough I got busy and my weight began to creep up. When I looked in the mirror I was unhappy with what I saw. I looked and felt unhealthy. This did not sit well with me and I felt I wasn?t setting a good example for my girls. Since being in this program, they have seen and now ask to exercise with me. It is a great feeling to do this with my little girls. I also have a history of heart problems in my family and am a firefighter. The number one cause of death for firefighters in the line of duty is heart attacks. This is a constant fear for me and my family. Thanks to this contest, I have greatly improved my life and health and look forward to a new healthier life with my family. Thank you for the great website, advice and motivation provided by bodybuilding.com. The supplements and support have been very helpful to me. I am grateful for this experience.

I would decline invitations to pool party's or a beautiful day at the beach, because I was too embarrassed to take my shirt off. I had often tried to lose weight or diet with little success, but something had to change.

MuscleTech gave me the motivation I needed to achieve my goals, and the products to help me get there. I knew I couldn't get all the nutrients I needed from food to replenish my newly hard-working body. Anabolic VitaKic was just the bodybuilding vitamin I needed with everything I could imagine needed for growth and maintenance. I can't live without protein, and who could forget Nitro-Tech, the scientifically advanced protein (Strawberry-Banana is my favorite). Nano vapor is my preferred preworkout supplement although I had a few samples of MyoShock and I can say that it gave me some of the craziest pumps. One new product to me was Crytotest, a natural test booster, which instantly got rid of lethargy from dieting and kept me in a good mood all day.

More than just my body has changed. I have new attitude of happiness towards life, more confidence, a sense of dedication, and a better overall well-being. Thank You MuscleTech!

Also, here is a picture I liked, I feel like it makes me look like a bodybuilder lol

Essay

Ever since I was a little kid I?ve been over weight. I was raised by my grandmother who learned how to cook on the farm, so everything I ate was cooked in bacon grease and ?healthy food? was never an option. In college I tried many times to lose weight through vigorous exercise, but I always lacked the discipline of eating a clean diet. I had a physical about a year ago which revealed that my cholesterol level was very high and I was put on medication immediately. I was told that I had to lose weight or my health would suffer so I tried but like many times before I lacked the long term discipline.

When I saw this Muscle Tech challenge I realized that this was my opportunity to make a change in my life. Over the past 14 weeks by using Hydroxycut I?ve been able to transform, not only my body but also my overall life style. Hydroxycut gave me the energy to rise at 5:30am and get to the gym before work, and to go back to the gym after work and lift weights regardless how mentally exhausted I was from my day. I weigh less now than I have in the last 10 years and am wearing a smaller pant size than I have in 14 years. This contest is over, but my drive to change is not and I can not thank Muscle Tech enough for giving me this opportunity to change my life.

Iam just an average joe and a trainer and I was tired of training people and being fat. so I decided to make a life decision. I knew exersising will be hard expecially with a wedding coming up but I had wounderful support from my fiance and family. I knew that the diet will be the hardest. being an average guy and liking fast food alot i knew it would be hard. but i knew that i could do it i had to do it to prove something to myself. I woke up everyday 430 in the morning to do cardio i know iam only at my halfway point but i think i did pretty good for what is going on in my life at this time. Being leaner feel so much better and muscletech supps really help me alot to stay motivated and on track escpecially nano vapor for my afternoon workouts..

Essay And Transformation Pics

This competition started as a body transformation and ended up being a total lifestyle transformation for me. The last time I had a reason to push myself or dedicate myself in the weight room was when I was in high school, however with this competition I had a new goal and drive inside me. With the help of Hydroxycut Hardcore and Cell-Tech I lost not only pounds but bodyfat! I lost 15 pds of fat and shaved 7% bf in 12 weeks. My eating habits had been so horrible eating out everyday given my occupation. (I travel between 200-250 miles a day) It was just so easy to drive up to a window, order a couple 99 cent burgers, a frie and coke and drive off full. This transformation contest has opened my eyes to how easy it is to pack a nutritional bag of food and get rid of my horrible habit. It has also given me a new sense or drive in the weight room. With the help of the Muscletech products I have been given a new life to live, a new body to enjoy and something to strive for each and everyday. Everyone who took this competition seriously is a better man, woman, father or mother I guarantee it. Thank you Musletech and Bodybuilding.com for the opportunity of a lifetime.

Or it could be that those few people who you are talking about were not hiding a bunch of muscle underneath a layer of fat. For some, the only thing underneath the fat was more fat. In addition, to loose as much fat as some people did during this short time would make it extremely hard to put on a ton of muscle anyway. I can't speak for anyone else but my main objective was to lose the fat first and foremost. Now that I have, and changed my lifestyle while finding supplements that actually worked, I can put on quality muscle without all of the added fat. A better way to look at it is no matter what type of transformations we have all made, we are all better then we were when we began this journey.

Thumbs up Final Essay

Fall 2008, I was a mess scarred by both the economic down turn and reeling from a failed personal relationship. Also, the Big 30 was less than a year away and I needed a new challenge. I hit the gym and I purchased my first set of Bodyingbuilding.com supplements. The day the supplements came I viewed the flyer for the Annual contest, soon after I entered the Second Annual MuscleTech $50,000 contest.
In order to do my best for this contest, I contacted Sean Harley and Heath Murray of ITHINKFIT in Omaha, Nebraska. They trained me at their fit camp with 300 style workout groups. Additionally, these top trainers worked on my diet as well as maximizing the benefits of my MuscleTech products. My approach was twofold, burn fat with Hydroxycut Hardcore, and build muscle with the Nitro-Tech Hardcore. Then during last week of the contest I added Hydrazide to shed water weight.
During the 12 weeks of the contest my body transformed for the better: new muscles appeared and veins showed up everywhere. Exercising every day at ITHINKFIT meant I was surrounded by positive and supportive people who made me feel good about who I am. The relationships established with my trainers and other fit camps members have changed my life for the better. I am now the happiest I have ever been.
People constantly ask what is your fitness secret? I tell them there is no secret, only a sound diet, frequent exercise, and MuscleTech products!

Talking My "Essay" and Before and After Photos

I?ll have to admit, when this challenge began I had very little faith in myself as an achiever. I thought it might provide some motivation for me to push a little harder, but never the level that I?ve taken it to now. With a clean diet, a dedicated mind and body, and Muscletech to provide the highest quality of supplements to aid in my fat burning and energy level needs, I have lost over 20 pounds and lowered my body fat from 24% to 13.47% in just 16 weeks. I can wholeheartedly say ?I am the person I want to be?!

Bodyspace provided the inspiration and motivation that led to my decision to enter this contest. Most people only dream of having a support group such as this.

Making the commitment and following it through until the end has led me to find self-confidence and pride in myself that did not exist before January. The phrase ? there?s a light at the end of the tunnel?, no longer exists to me. The light is never ending the way I see it. Each day brings progress and achievement which leads to new goals to be reached. I now have the determination that I once only saw in others and was envious of. Hopefully I can BE one of those people now, and be one to offer advice and encouragement to someone like the person I once was.

This contest may have come to an end, but the transformation of my life, physically and mentally, has only just begun.

For me, and only me, I opted to add the muscle. I added dense quality muscle and managed to lean down. I have never carried this much muscle or had this low amount of a body fat! I wanted to do something I have never done and I did it! I figured most would lean out, so I went the other route. It was tough, especially doing it in Iraq. People said I couldn't do it, but I did. I am happy, but I have more work to do....this is the beginning. We had a ton of great transformation....it is going to be a close one. TF

That is exactly my point. Just about everyone had a different transformation in mind, that is what made this contest so interesting. Most opted to shed fat, but there are a few, yourself included, that did a tremendous job adding amazing quality muscle. We all have done a great job, no matter what transformation we chose to make...I feel extremely lucky to even be apart of it and to have made such good friends in the process.

This Muscletech contest has helped me stay-lean, gain musclemass, and reduce body fat. In addition, I've learned more about Bodybuilding preperation. The Nitrotech hardcore Triple chocolate Milkshake is fantasic tasting and it helped me hold onto muscle when dieting, the creatine 6000es adds some nice size and strength, and the hydrazide is a nice addition to getting water weight off. Remember, Its about loving your body, not being in love with the way you look.
In Summarization, this contest has helped my health, happiness, and relationships.I know contest preperation now and have learned how my body works. Thanks for the support group in the thread, you know who you are. Thank you Muscletech and Bodybuilding.com for helping me improve my life and for helping many people improve their lives. Every one is a winner that has done this contest

Final Pics and Essay

On January 15, 2009, I made a decision that would change the course of my life. I set out on an expedition and pointed my navigational beacon towards a new destination. Along the journey, I discovered strengths and weaknesses. I fought many battles, some won, some lost. All the while my beacon kept me on course. Like a warrior preparing for battle, I armed myself with a host of MuscleTech products. These supplements were exactly what I needed to fight my own worst enemy, ME! As far as bodybuilding knowledge, I came into this challenge as a newborn baby coming into the world. Today, I feel like a seasoned veteran. Although it's time to end this chapter, the entire book is yet to be written. The days of wishing are over, it's time for action. These days, I welcome the battles that in the beginning, thought were impossible to win. But with Bodybuilding.com and the entire community, these battles seem more like skirmishes. I live to fight, I fight to live. My enemy knows no boundaries and will use everything at his disposal to knock me off my feet. With a winning combination like MuscleTech and Bodybuilding.com, I will continue to improve and grow stronger. I am reaching for new heights. I am no longer daydreaming but making dreams come true. I will continue this journey to my destination, a destination that is not a place, but a direction.

MuscleTech Transformation Contest Entry

May 6, 2009

Last February I weighed 202 pounds, but with a pretty intensive aerobic workout, a light weight training routine, and a sensible diet, I achieved a 20-pound weight loss. Even though I became more fit and was able to get off three cholesterol medications, I still wasn?t happy with the way I looked. The muscle definition was definitely lacking and I didn?t think it was possible to get that ripped look without a different genetic body composition or the use of illegal supplements.

So I found the Bodybuilding.com website and started researching ways to bulk up in a healthy way that would work with my body type. And the MuscleTech contest bolstered my motivation. The website was easy to navigate and as a novice supplement user, I found the information invaluable. The site taught me which products to use and when to use them, knowledge I had been lacking, and I incorporated several MuscleTech products--Cell-Tech Hardcore, CryoTest, Gakic and Leukic Hardcore, and NaNO Vapor--into my regular diet and exercise routine.

Earlier this month a competitive body builder at my gym came up to ask me to teach him my calf routine. I was in disbelief that this big hulk of a guy would ask me for advice, but it made my day.

On a fundamental level, we all know that we need to eat better and exercise more. But I needed Bodybuiding.com and the MuscleTech products to know specifically how to reach my fitness goals. I?ll never grace the cover of a magazine, but I feel better than I ever have and am in better shape now than when I graduated the New Jersey State Police Academy at the age of 22. Thanks to your help, I can continue to build on the foundation I have established.

Sincerely,

Albert Astarita

Final Essay & Pics

All my life I have been dissatisfied with the way I looked. I use to lie in my bed thinking to myself that tomorrow is another hopeless day and hoping for a better tomorrow. One of my friends introduced me to bodybuilding.com and the first person I saw was Dexter Jackson advertising Muscletech. I told my friend how I can look like that guy? He said that ?he uses Muscletech products and those are the best supplements out there in the market?. I went back to my dorm and researched more about Muscletech products on Bodybuilding.com. Seeing that Bodybuilding.com had great prices I decided that I would try out Hydroxycut Hardcore and Cell-Tech. I was astonished on how incredible the Muscletech products transformed by body in a short period of time. Taking Hydroxycut Hardcore before my cardio and weight training sessions gave me the energy that I did not know existed. After a long intensive workout, Cell-Tech was able to give me back my energy and help rebuild my muscle tissue. Every week that passed using Hydroxycut Hardcore and Cell-Tech my body was rapidly changing. I am able to see muscles that I never knew existed on a human being. Muscletech and Bodybuilding.com have given me the encouragement and drive to change my life. Although this is the end of the transformation contest, Muscletech and Bodybuilding.com have helped me in finding a new me. This contest has opened me up to endless opportunities and this journey is just beginning.

Essay

At 261lbs with a 25% body fat, you could say that I was carrying more on my shoulders than I felt ready to bear. My knees and back were in constant pain; I was suffering the symptoms of sleep Apnea and developing Insulin Resistance. Sure, I wasn?t at a point yet where I was already suffering from serious health problems, but their coming was sure as day. The heavier I got the less drive I had; and though my working out at the gym had dropped some of the burden, I was still carrying too much. This contest was answer to more problems than one. While the prizes were alluring, I held no illusions that I stood much of a chance of winning. Rather, I saw a competition, something to drive me and people there to help me along the way.

When I look in the mirror, I don?t see the same swollen bellied fat guy I saw three months ago. When I sleep, I truly sleep- no longer do I wake up sputtering for air. My blood sugar has quit diving constantly, my joint health is improving and already I feel so much better. Sure, the material prizes are wanton treasures that I and anyone else would love to have. However, I am happy with the one treasure I have taken with me from this contest- a commitment to living life healthy, and the knowledge that I can succeed, no matter the adversity.

****

Final stats:

Starting Body fat (via 9 fold test) 25%
Ending Body Fat: 12.3%

Starting Weight:
261lbs, 196 Lean

Ending Weight:
242lbs, 212 Lean

Fat burned: 35lbs
Lean Mass gained: 16lbs

Though this contest has ended, my journey has just begun. I hope that within the next 6 weeks, I will be down to at least 8%. This doesn't end here, it only began here.

Congratulations to everyone. Spectacular job.

This contest has given me a great opportunity in which I have seized the day. I am a type 2 diabetic with high cholesterol. I no longer need to take any meds. I have been able to get both fat way down and my diet under control. This contest has been a wonderful lifestyle change. I was able to burn off a bunch of fat through hard work and determination. I was able to keep my muscle and build much more thanks to Anabolic Halo for post workout. Without it I wouldn?t have been able to work so hard.

My diet has drastically changed. At first it was hard to eat ?clean? but as I did it I found it got easier. Things started to taste better and I was able to spice it up. I now eat on a great schedule for a diabetic to keep my glucose controlled.

I look and feel better. My immune system has gone from poor to strong. My wife and children are proud of me. I don?t feel fat or see myself as ugly. It gives me a more positive outlook on all of life. My inner and outer transformation has influenced others to try the same. Where would I have been without MuscleTech and Bodybuilding.com giving me this opportunity to change? I would still be on meds and feel terrible. Thank you for this chance at a new and better life. Thank you to all the positive motivational people.

Talking MuscleTech Competition - Essay and Pics

The MuscleTech Transformation Contest literally saved my life. For years I had been battling various physical and emotional ailments including depression, asthma, obesity, and a damaged liver. I would get sick often, having many allergies, and would usually contract sinusitis, pneumonia, and bronchitis multiple times a year. Many doctors ran tests, and though they knew something was wrong, they couldn't diagnose the causes for my ailments. I ended up feeling frustrated, sad, and exhausted. Life seemed hopeless. When I began the contest it was a fight to save my life, my sanity, and my happiness. I began the contest using MuscleTech's Nitro-Tech Hardcore, and it is great! I lost a lot of fat and gained some lean muscle early on in the contest thanks to this amazing product. I then began using MuscleTech's Vitakic. It is a great multi-vitamin and my immune system has been constantly improving ever since taking it ? I rarely get sick anymore. While doing this contest I have learned more about health, nutrition, and exercise than I ever have in my entire life. Now I rarely have any allergies, I am no longer obese, my asthma has disappeared, and I am better able to deal with my depression than ever before! Thank you so much BodySpace.com and MuscleTech, this contest has saved my life, when doctors couldn't!

My Essay

Before this challenge, I didn't know much about training or nutritions. I only knew by what I heard from people at the gym and by watching others working out. Heck, I didn't even know that you can stack your supplements!

I'm not the person that have the previledge to work out five days a week or the freedom to workout whenever I want . I have a busy profession and a busy family that occupies most of my time, just trying to get to the gym can be a challenge in itself.

I started this contest at 198lbs, overweight and lack of energy. Since I've been reading articles on training and nutritions at Bodybuilding.com and taking Muscletech supplements, like Cell-Tech, Nitro-Tech and Hydroxycut, I have lost 28lbs with the combined work out total less than eight weeks!

This challenge as impacted my life by giving me new perspective to training and the inspiration to motivate myself to keep pushing forward. I am now living a better and healthier lifestyle.

Thank you Bodybuilding.com for being my virtual training partner and MuscleTech for having great products that really works!

Old Man Skinny's Essay--Getting Better With Age

I'm an old man by bodybuilders' standards--61. Yet I'm not ready to lean back, relax, and be the roly-poly Grandpa to my 24 grandchildren. At 200 pounds, I realized I yearned to look in the mirror and see vigor and vitality. I started the Muscle Tech Transformation a pudgy 180 with a goal to get to 6% body fat.

What an impact this has had on my life! I've learned how disciplined I really could be with time, focus, and even basics--sleeping, eating, drinking, working. This transformation has empowered me. I proved I have a force within me that can accomplish any purpose.

I appreciate family, friends and faith. My wife of 40 years is mid-stage Alzheimer's, yet she asks about my goals. At the gym, smiling from her stationary bike, she brightens when I strike a bodybuilding pose. The folks here on the forum gave high-fives, and God has strengthened me in weakness.

Muscle Tech supplements boosted my clean eating and rigorous workouts. I'm proof even old folks benefit from creatine, protein powders, and testosterone boosters. Hydroxycut gets credit for burning the last 2% body fat. Anabolic Vitakic, with its complete range of nutrients, kept me healthy despite the low-carbs.

I'm still an old man, but at 160 @ 6% neither the mirror nor my activity level would indicate it. This transformation has been my Fountain of Youth. Would that I had the opportunity to inspire older folks all over the world to drink from it.

Thumbs up Final Essay

I am a 30 year old Police Officer and father of three young boys. In my 8 years of law enforcement, I have lost more friends to health related problems than violence on the job. When I compared my previous work id cards, I could tell that without taking action I would never make it to retirement myself. I have always admired the physiques in the Muscletech advertisements, but never thought I could get the same results until I learned about the 2009 Muscletech Transformation Contest. Once I started to take Muscletech Supplement and stick to a good diet and exercise program, I could tell that Muscletech is legitimate. With the help of Muscletech, I was able to lose 40 pounds of fat and gain quality muscle. From my transformation to the ones in all the magazines, it's no wonder that Muscletech is endorsed by the best bodies in the business. Thanks Muscletech for getting me back on track to enjoy a long and successful career and active retirement in the future.

moving forward is right on with this one, specialk and a handful of other guys had a ton of muscle at the beginning of this thing, its obvious they have been in the gym 4-6 times a week longggggg before this contest but they probably just werent doing any cardio and eating clean. For the rest of us the "average joe" not the bulked bodybuilder we didnt have a ton of muscle from lifting under the fat to lose in the first place so it was alllll about the cut, maybe gain a few pounds of muscle in the process if possible. just my thought. Theres no secrets here its obvious looking at before pics who was new to this and who was already a healthy gym rat before this contest and I'm sure the judges can see it to. Its a transformation contest not bodybuilding contest. They got it right with picing Todd last year I'm sure they'll do it again!!

Talking Final Essay and Photos

When you get to the point in your life where you eat whatever is convenient or would rather just not eat because the refrigerator is just too far away, its time for a change. Three months ago I was a 22 years old, a college graduate starting a new career and making decisions on what shape my life should take. It's not like I had reached land whale proportions but I sure had gotten soft by my last year of school. I had managed to turn a graduation celebration into a 4 month party of eating and drinking everything in site. The rest of my life was starting to fall into place, but my stomach was quickly falling out of place. There I stood; facing the truth squad, also know my full length mirror, "what an ulcer". Like every red blooded American, when you need info it was www.com to the rescue. That's when I found bodybuilding.com and the Muscle Tech transformation contest. It absolutely changed my life. It was the exact thing I needed to keep me committed and focused. Amazing support from every one, great products and some dedication yielded amazing results. Not only have I transformed my body, I have transformed my life. Inspired by my efforts, my entire family and several of my close friends have joined in a new healthy lifestyle. The transformation contest has given me the discipline and confidence to pursue and conquer even bigger life challenges in the future. Thanks guys

I was tired of being over weight and spending so much time working out with so few results. I saw the MuscleTech Transformation contest as a challenge to better myself. Through my 14-week journey, I learned how to manage my diet and exercise more efficiently. During the process, my wife and two little boys stood by my side and learned the importance of diet and exercise for themselves. With help from MuscleTech supplements such as Hydroxycut Hardcore and Nitro-Tech, I went from 205 Lbs. to 167 Lbs. and made it down to 7% body fat. I don?t consider my journey over by any means. I plan to continue this lifestyle and hope to inspire others in the process.

Final Pics and Essay

Wow...I really don't know what to say. I'm so happy with myself and with the results. I'm smiling now as I type this essay. Many people thought I was crazy and made negative comments for the dedication I put forth. I was tired of my unhealthy lifestyle. One day I decided to change all that and take a visit to bodybuilding.com for some advice and stumbled onto an ad for the Muscletech Transformation Contest. This turned out to be one of the best decisions that I've ever made in my life. I thought by entering this contest it would supply me with some added motivation. Boy was I right. I was skeptical about Muscletech products at first but man was I wrong. Through a healthy diet and proper supplementation of Muscletech products, I was able to shred and unbelievably build muscle. I got cuts and veins now baby! I've never been anywhere remotely close to looking like this! I tell everyone I know who wants to get into shape to invest in Muscletech and seeing my results, they don?t question it. I think anyone who puts their mind to it can do what I did. Winning this contest would be fantastic but even if I didn't, that changes nothing. This is going to be a permanent lifestyle change. Thanks to all the participants who stuck with it and had inspirational and constructive messages to keep us going. Thanks Muscletech for allowing us to compete in such a positive contest.

Thanks guys
Look at you flynn...looking great brother. Congrats and keep at it!!!
