Lean Rescue Log for dsinc72
Hey everyone,
I was originally picked to test lean rescue about 5 weeks ago when I thought I was going to be in Iraq until May. Fortunately for me, I got to come home early, but it did delay the start of my test. I recently received the last of my gym equipment I was waiting for and I will be starting my regular workout schedule on Monday (6 Apr).
I will be taking Lean Rescue, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and using Xtend during my workouts. I will also be using a Team Scivation Workout program, so I will be testing that as well (side note =D).
Anyway, tune in next week for the start of my Lean Rescue log!

Day 1
Ok, took my first 3 caps at 6 am. Noticed a slight boost in energy throughout the morning. Took the second dose a little late (forgot to bring them to work), so I didn't take those until about 5:15pm (I would normally take them around 3:30 pm) and worked out around 5:45 or so.
Took measurements yesterday and I'm around 9% bodyfat. I need to get a new scale, so I don't have my current weight, but will hopefully rectify that in the next couple of days. I should still be right around 170.
Workout: On this program you do the first body part exercise, rest one minute, then switch to the other body part, rest one min, rinse and repeat =). Today was Back/Chest 2x10 each (sets increase each week for 4 weeks, then start over at 2): Bent over DB row/Bench press; Pullups/Incline DB Press; 1-arm DB row/Decline Flyes
Meals:
Breakfast 6:30am: 1 scoop Scivation Whey; 4 eggs (2 whole, 2 whites); oatmeal w/raisins // 9:30am: 2 scoops Scivation Whey; 18 almonds // 12:30pm: half a large yam 2 scoops scivation whey w/2 tbsp peanut butter (I need to go buy more meat, lol) // 3:30pm: 2 scoops Scivation Whey, 18 almonds, 1 apple // Before/during workout: 2 scoops Xtend; after (missed my Cytogainer shake) // 7:30pm: lean ground turkey and vegetables // Bedtime: Casein Shake w/peanut butter.

Day 3&4 update
My normal lifting schedule is M-T-TH-F but this week I had to shift to Fr-S for the second two days. Diet and Lean Rescue was pretty much the same as it's been (it doesn't bother me a great deal to eat the same things most days, heh). Where my diet varied, I listed the day and what I had below.
Ok, took my first 3 caps at 6 am. Noticed a slight boost in energy throughout the morning. Started feeling a little slow after lunch, but definitely noticed a boost in energy after I took my second 3 caps at 3pm.
Meals:
Breakfast 6:30am: 1 scoop Scivation Whey; 4 eggs (2 whole, 2 whites); oatmeal w/craisins // 9:30am: 2 scoops Scivation Whey; 18 almonds // 12:30pm: Wed: ground Turkey w/sweet potato and apple and 1 scoop whey in water; Thurs: Shake with: skim milk, casein protein, oatmeal, yogurt and some cottage cheese // 3:30pm: 2 scoops Scivation Whey, 18 almonds, 1 apple // After work: Wednesday: nothing; Thurs: 2 scoops Xtend (wanted the BCAAs)// 7:30pm: chicken breast and veggies and 18 almonds// Bedtime: Casein Shake w/peanut butter.
Tomorrow is leg day!

Ok, took my first 3 caps at 6 am. Noticed a slight boost in energy throughout the morning. Was a little more active today (not in office all day), so my energy seemed to stay more consistent. One note; if you take the full dose, you probably want to avoid taking caffeine in the evening...but only if you want to sleep =P
Workout: Today was Leg day: 2x10 each (sets increase each week for 4 weeks, then start over at 2): Front Squat/Stiff leg deadlift; Leg Extension/Lying Leg Curl; DB Lunges/One leg lying leg curl; Seated calf raise/standing calf raise.
Meals:
Breakfast 6:30am: 2 scoop Scivation Whey; high fiber cereal w/skim milk // 9:30am: 1 scoops Whey + 1 scoop casein; 18 almonds // 12:30pm: seafood footlong on 9 grain honey oat bread w/baby spinach (Subway) // 3:30pm: 2 scoops Scivation Whey, natural peanut butter // Before/during workout: 2 scoops Xtend; After 2 scoops Cytogainer in water // 7:30pm: lean ground beef, broccoli, green beans // Bedtime: Casein Shake w/peanut butter.

Dennis did you take the second full dose in afternoon? You are correct if you are doing 2 full doses twice daily and should not use additional caffeine. No reason to use and stake any more stimulants The product is build to function as is and should not be used with any other beta or alpha stimulation.

Yeah, I have been taking the full dose in the a.m. and p.m. and I had a diet soda late in the evening, which kept me kind of wired, heh.
Ok, here is my Saturday (11 Apr) diet and workout:
Ok, took my first 3 caps at 8:30 am (slept in =) ). Worked around the house today, so I missed my 3pm and took it at 5pm before my workout (which got pushed to 7pm).
Workout: Today was Lat/Delt day: 2x10 each (sets increase each week for 4 weeks, then start over at 2): DB Military Press/Barbell Shrug; DB Side Lateral/DB Shrug; Rear DB Lateral/Prone DB Shrug; Decline Crunch/Good Mornings/Hanging Leg Raise.
Meals:
Breakfast 9:00am: Breakfast shake: 2 scoop Scivation Whey; oatmeal; natural peanut butter // 11:00am: 1 scoops Whey + 1 scoop casein; 18 almonds // 12:30pm: lean ground beef; veggies; half a yam // 3:30pm: 2 scoops Scivation Whey, natural peanut butter // Before/during workout: 2 scoops Xtend; // 7:30pm: chicken breast; veggies; brown rice (small amount) // Bedtime: Forgot to take casein shake.

Good job man. Any negative sides to speak of? How is your over all feeling. As I stated before, you will begin to feel leaner, sharper as the days go on with 2 full doses per day.

Body comp has been staying pretty much the same so far; weight is staying stable and body fat is pretty stable as well. Now, I suppose that considering I've only been doing two sets of everything w/no x-reps instead of my usual 3 sets or 2 sets + xreps (and cheated some on diet because of Easter), the LR is helping keep my body comp stable.
Next week, after my wife learns the rest of the exercises as we finish up this week, I am going back to my old program, and we will see what happens.
So, in summary, it looks as if it is helping me maintain my current body comp, despite a little more relaxed program than I was on before.

I did notice that your routine was a bit as you say "relaxed" When you do kick it up a notch and couple that with LEAN- RESCUE.... just wait and see how your body comp and moods become. One a positive that it.

Monday, 20 Apr:
Took my morning dose, but missed by afternoon dose (it's been very busy at work because we have a class starting Monday). Had a good workout today, I'm back on my old routine: I'm still doing 2 sets of everything (plus warm-up) but I have added X-reps back in on the last set. I lot the majority of my weight when I was getting in shape with this routine.
Meals:
Breakfast 6:30am: 2 scoop Scivation Whey, oatmeal w/almonds and craisins// 9:30am: 2 scoop Scivation Whey; 18 almonds // 12:30pm: chicken, biscuit, red beans and rice// 3:30pm: 2 scoops Scivation Whey, almonds, apple // Before/during workout: 2 scoops Xtend; After 2 scoops Cytogainer in water // 7:30pm: turkey sausage with grilled peppers (red/yellow/green) and onions // missed my bedtime shake =(
Workout: Front Squats; Leg extensions; Lunges; lying leg curls; hanging knee-ups; end of bench v-ups (we skipped stiff leg deadlifts and calf raises because we got a really late start due to working late).

I realized I forgot to put my Saturday workout in. I will look up the workout after I get home and add it in here.

How's the overall feel, through out the day on 2 full servings per day, of Lean-Rescue?

In answer to the above question, to be honest, I don't feel a huge difference in mood, but the LR does seem to be helping my metabolism. Since I've been back, it's been a little harder maintaining my meal routine due to work, family, pets, etc (i.e. something happens at lunch and I have to eat out instead of go home to eat...it's only happened a couple of times, but it happens). For the most part, I still have a very good diet, but it isn't quite as tight as it was when I was working in Iraq and it was just me and pretty much every day went the same. This is where the LR comes into play: even though my diet isn't quite as tight as it was before, my bodyfat and weight have been staying constant. My workout intensity is pretty much the same as it was when I lost my weight initially (I was doing w/u plus 2 sets plus X-reps on the second set for everything), and diet is pretty good, but I feel the LR helps make up for a hectic schedule. I have really only ever used two products that actually affected my mood: one affected it a little and the other affected it a lot (if anyone wants to know what they were, you can PM me and ask me...I'm not going to talk about other products in this thread).
Ok, we had to change the Tuesday workout to Wednesday, so here is last night's workout (chest/biceps):
Incline DB Press, DB Bench Press, Flyes, Cable Curls and Chin-ups to failure
Diet was the same; I took my morning dose of LR, but I missed the afternoon dose. I think I'm going to put a reminder in my Outlook now so I don't forget today, heh. As I said in an earlier post, we have a class starting Monday, and prep this week has been very hectic =)
Oh, here was my Saturday workout: I missed Thursday/Friday (wife was sick) so I did a combined workout on Saturday: Front Squat, DB Shoulder Press, Leg Extensions, Side Lateral Raise, Lying Leg Curls, and DB Front Raise.

Wow, I can't believe how fast the last week went by, lol. Anyway, here are my workouts from Mon/Tues last week and final comments on Lean Rescue.
Monday, 27 Apr 09: Leg Extentions (warm-up); Front Squat; Leg Extensions; Leg Curls (three sets of everything). Went a little light on legs because I have a pinched nerve in my left glute and it has been a real pain in the butt.
Tuesday, 28 Apr 09: (Two sets of everything with X-reps added to the end of the second set): DB Incline Press; DB Flat Bench Press; 1-arm cable crossover; Chin-ups; Cable Curl; DB Curl.
Ending bodyfat: 8%, 171 lbs.
In closing I will say that Lean Rescue (LR) is a pretty good product. When I originally signed up, I was in Iraq and on a very controlled schedule (because I was the boss at work and I only had to worry about me in my off time), so I thought that would make for good test conditions. Then I came home early (family issues), got a new job, re-integrated with the family, friends, pets, etc... and my eating/work-out schedule was a little tougher to maintain. I think in the end, this was a better test, because it tested real world conditions.
There are a lot of people out there that workout and eat well, but have busy schedules and sometimes they have to make compromises. This is where LR can help you out; if you are busy and have a life, it can help make up for some of the "adjustments" we are forced to make in our eating and workout routines. I never did really notice much of a change in my mood, but I have only ever had one product that really did that, and these types of products affect everyone a little differently anyway.
I would compare the weight control/loss ability of this product to something like Hydroxycut Hardcore, which is a also a good product. I would recommend this product to people looking to lose weight, or to someone who just needs a little help in keeping their weight in check while living a normal life.
