#1 thing that makes me want to beat some ass at the gym is people not racking there weights. "come on now if your strong enough to get them out you better put that **** where it goes or ill put it somewhere it dosnt" plus working at my gym i do not like picking up after people at the end of the night
ok the 2nd most agervaiting thing is up there with the first one
#2 if your gym only has 2 or three curl bars and u need one an u see a stupid mother ****er using it to do shrugs with 2 45lb plates on each side ooooo this pisses me off soo bad on top of the guy taking 5mins between shrug sets and his cuz is using another bar for the same thing!!!!! i could understand if they wernt strong enough to use a bench bar but no thats not the prob. whoooooooooooooooo that feels good to let out

After I started working part-time in a gym, the only thing that bothers me is when people don't rack weights or return equipment to its proper location. That and people splashing around the sink like goddamn orangutans. I swear the guys at my gym are taking showers in the bathroom sinks.

I'm sick of the people who stare at me when I'm on the leg press machine... it's gotten to the point where I'm outright uncomfortable to do the weights I want to.
Recently I've been doing reps at 900 lbs, and on our leg press that both takes up much of the weight racks and uses most of the plates in our gym (my gym isn't really a "powerhouse").
Well anyway it's really annoying to have a bunch of people stare at me for this... some looks are almost contemptuous... pisses me off.
Do I need to feel guilty about doing leg presses at 900 lbs (I know its not even that much but apparently in my gym it is some anomoly calling for stares)???
Other than that, I HATE when mofos leave dumbells in the middle of the floor after metrosexual diagonal one arm rows.

Whenever someone loads up the leg press, I always tend to keep an eye on them, just because so many people will throw heavy weight on and do their reps at roughly 1/10th range of motion.
So if your doing it well, props!

2 things i hate
1. The guy in the bathroom who walks around naked with a towel in his hand, sorry, usually the older guys, put the damn thing around your waist, no homo
2. The group of 5 that use to machines, for 30min, and its always something its one of, like pulldown machine or squat rack, I have to schudule my workout so I dont use what they use

too much to list! just afew:
1) ppl who workout with the intensity of a 90 year old (5 minutes sitting on the machine between sets, standing in my way at the rack shooting the sh!t in the time i will have gotten a superset of 4 done, people moving from staition to station with the speed of a snail)
2) ppl who think that the hotter it is the more fat they will sweat off and therefore neurotically turn off all fans and ac
3) ppl who look at me like i'm some kind of insane animal when the truth is that THEY should try actually WORKING OUT for once instead of, well, i don't know what you would call what they do but it sure as hell ain't working out.
4) ppl who smell excessively. please.
5) big beefy fat guys that think they're *big* tough guys but really have no form, no knowledge of what their doing, and could easily be outlifted by a guy half their weight but twice their strength (me)

At 190 lbs., with 900 lbs. on the press, you probably aren't hitting depth, and in a very ironic twist, YOU are the thing that people hate while in the gym.
You are probably "that guy" that everyone wants to watch when you enter the gym for comedic effect, and in the end, once again, YOU are the thing that people hate while in the gym.

I hate people that are a 9.9/10.
Why can't they just be a 10?

Screaming while lifting is like the screaming in karate, it gets out the tension in a powerful move. I don't like to do it, I need to do it.
Only on super heavy stuff.

Screaming actually decreases pressure in your core, making you less stable on the lift and unable to lift as much weight.

Celebrity is a double edged sword!
Seriously though, I'm a big on strength and I'm lifting all kinds of crazy weight. Between sets, sometimes I read a book. It's all a bit odd I guess but the gym is a place for me to relax, focus, and get out tension. It's part of my lifestyle and I'm relaxed and enjoying myself.
People find that hard to understand. They also get amazed at the strength thing, but I've been lifting since I was 18, so it's no surprise that I'm pretty strong as compared to you who just joined, are 22, etc.
Just glance, make note, and do your own thing.

Thank you for the online fitness evaluation, but no thanks. If I wasn't hitting "depth," then you, me, and 90% of the members on this site could push about 1200-1500 for a 1/10th rep.
Why would people hate me for doing 900 lb leg presses?
And dude, I said it's not even that much (it's really not)... plenty of strong adult men do well into the 1000s.

Here's a few (I've been lifting at school the past few months so I've got plenty):
- The people that take the cardio machines just so they can talk to their friends while working out
- Guys bragging about the pussy they "totally wrecked at that party last night"
- When you ask somebody if they're almost done on their bench, they say "yeah, just one more set", and they actually have about 6 more sets
- When people walk on the track (really? you can't just walk around outside?)
- Groups of people talking and doing nothing
- People staring (I'm nothing special, my form is just better than your form)
- People staring in the locker room (I don't sway that way, guys)
- When there's 2 water fountains, but everybody insists on using the the taller one with the BROKEN BUTTON because they don't have to bend down so far
- When people think it'll ruin their workout if you ask to work in on a machine with them
- Gym employees who don't know the difference between a lifting belt and a dip belt
I'll probably think of more.

totally! even worse is
1) when people take up a CARDIO MACHINE (when there aren't alot of them) and just use it for a sunday stroll. i'm like 'walk around outside... i need that thing to actually WORKOUT and you're wasting my friggin' time!
2) Gym TRAINERS who don't know the difference between a lifting belt and a dip belt...
