I don't see them pulling the plug on any contests, that would be setting themselves up for endless breach of contract suits. Obviously they have to suspend advertising until the new product is revealed.
It is a tough deal for them, for sure. 23 people with liver issues, out of 9 million sold last year. Probably have a better shot at getting hit by lightning.

I agree. Besides, this is a MT contest, not hydroxycut.

My first try at any sort of bodybuilding competition, let alone, going to the gym seriously. Thanks for getting me into shape MuscleTech and BodyBuilding.com!!!
Jan. 14th:
BF 15%
180 lbs
Apr. 30th:
BF 7%
199 lbs
Essay:
When I began this contest I thought: "Hey, it's a lot of money(which could help with tuition and living costs) and it's a good reason to get in shape", little did I know this contest would literally changed my life in every way, shape and form. I lost 8% BF and gained about 19 lbs of pure muscle during this contest. As a full time college student my budget for time and money was/is limited and was not able to keep up with MuscleTech supplements, although towards the end of the contest I did Hydroxycut Hardcore and some Hydrazide. Without the Hydroxycut Hardcore to back me up my BF % would still be high and I'd still be that nerdy, awkward looking, out-of-shape, straight A college student, because of this contest my confidence is through the roof and I can only wish to have seen the gains I would have made with more MuscleTech products! If I would have had the money, Madden would have to watch out! Haha( just kidding Todd I love ya, you're an inspiration to us all).

"As you have already heard, the new evolution in the Hydroxycut brand, Hydroxycut Advanced, will be shipping in the near future. You should have received a Hydroxycut Advanced information deck by now, but if you haven?t, please contact your Iovate authorized broker or your Iovate Sales Team member as it is critical that your orders are in place soon. We expect initial demand might exceed our ability to supply the new formulations, at least in the beginning.
Over the last ten years, the Hydroxycut brand has been the top selling weight loss supplement brand in the U.S. During this time, we have continuously reformulated our product offerings. Our new formula, Hydroxycut Advanced, while also based on science, is a completely new and revolutionary formulation."
So, looks like the June contest will be the new Hydroxycut Advanced contest?
You guys who have posted up transformations and essays.... well done! Doesn't it feel great to have changed your lives, and completed the goal you set out to accomplish?
I've gotta say, TMan.... your transformation is sick! I know you fall into the experienced BB'er category, but you shed a lot of fat and came in crazy ripped! Well done, man!
Good luck to all!

Wait a second people.... I just figured it out! They have known all along about these FDA reports.... and they have waited until May 1st (fiscal year, maybe?) to make this announcement, released all of this to the press at the same time....... and just in time for the release of the new, reformulated Hydroxycut Advanced! What a brilliant marketing strategy! Get your name on the front page of every news website and newspaper, and then hit them with the NEW, SAFER product all in the same shot! Free press, and public reassurance of the safety of the product!
Amazing! Buy your Iovate stock today! Lol!

It's up elsewhere on the site.
People with names in bold and over 1 million rep power are mods. Administrators have 2 million rep power.

i'll take it, i won't tell anyone where i got it from.
i'm getting up and taking mine tomorrow morning, some quick caffeine to remove that excess water from under the skin. I drive a motorcycle and have a better chance of being hit and killed on that or crashing in my flight to cali at the end of this week than being affected negatively by a product i've been taking for months....

I had become overweight, and not happy with my sluggish appearance. Depression crept in. I had to make a "life choice."
By chance, I discovered the MuscleTech Transformation Contest. Something stirred deep inside of me, a spark was lit from within. I made up my mind, ordered MuscleTech's supplements, and entered the weight room with a single-minded ferocity that was new to me. I could not believe the incredible changes in my body--fat melted off, rock hard muscles swelled, striations, and veins popped out. I was thrilled!

Hi
Hi all, it's been a while since I stop by here and I see lots of new faces. I've seen lots of great transformations also and I just want to say congratulations for sticking it all the way to the end.
On a different note, I see that everyone is talking about Hydroxicut already and as if it wasn't enough, here is another link to see from Yahoo news.
I take Hydroxicut my self, so this is a bummer. It has actually helped me a lot and I haven't had any problems yet, but I guess I'll stop taking them now. I only have a few pills left anyway so is not too much of a loss.
Take care!

I suggest you just keep your hydroxycut for right now and see what the FDA says.personally, i would return the product and get the refund.

Essay
First of all I want to thank Bodybuilding.com and MuscleTech for coming up with this contest. My name is Sean Maher I have been working out for quite sometime but never really was much for watching my diet. I was just a big guy who lifted big weights and was never really cut. When I saw this contest in a muscle magazine, I thought this could be fun and something that would make me push my body to the next level. Everything that I have done is from hard work and research of dieting and training. I have no bodybuilding experience and never hired a personal trainer to help me. When I started I was 238 pounds. My doctor wanted to put me on high blood pressure medication due to being overweight and out of shape. There is a history of heart disease in my family and there have been recent deaths in the family due to this condition. This contest has pushed me to work harder and basically train my butt off!! to get to where I?m at. I watch my diet all the time and now I want to get certified as a personal trainer and help others accomplish their goals to be healthier, stronger and live happy lives with their families. Last but not least I want to thank my wife Heidi, my kids, and friends for all their support; I couldn?t have done this without them!

Essay and Final Pictures
First I want to say thanks to Muscle Tech and Bodybuilding.com for promoting this contest. I know for me and I am sure, speaking for many others who have put forth a lot of effort in this transformation, I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life right now. This has helped me in many ways of life to know that I can do anything I set my mind to.
Since I was a little boy I have always had a dream to become a bodybuilder. Now that I have had the opportunity, drive and passion to pursue what once was a dream I can say that I really don't know any other way of living. This is not just a dream anymore but is now something I live and breathe and have dedicated my life to as a bodybuilder. What would I have to lose but everything to gain in getting in the best shape of my life? To win this would be great but the accomplishments should be greater.
So although I am happy where I am on a personal level as opposed to where I started, my work is far from over. I will continue on this journey for the next 6 weeks to take my physique to the next level and hope to look even better at my attempt to step on stage for the first time.
Sincerely,
Jody Cole

Probably no one. I doubt the essay counts for jack. This contest will be won on the pictures. A dramatically visible transformation is what they're looking for, right?
Still, if it comes down to the wire then I'm guessing that the 251-word essay will be given the boot and the 249-word essay will get the prize.
That or a coin toss.

Ummm... that isn't even a moderator that I can tell that posted that. Maybe it is and I'm wrong, but the whole profile looks bogus.

I contacted BB.com and they emailed me a return form to mail the product back for free and get a full refund. I sent my Hydroxycut back.

I've heard there's a Canadian version of Hydroxycut, so this news apparently won't hurt MuscleTech at all. They're ready to roll with a revised supplement immediately.
I wonder if that's true. Guess there's no one from MT around with the official word, though.
