Like Layne said. If you come in with low BF then you shouldn't need any tricks, bottom line. I think you will do great man, just take some shots one day and then try some the next to see what looks best. You got this.

when your sodium is low your body will eventually begin to hold water (usually after 2 days of sodium depletion) because of the anti-diuretic hormones released. That is why you load sodium high initially then cut it (and your water) the last day or two. Then your body will flush out the remaining sodium and retained water and you will look cut until your body counteracts and begins to retain water out of survival. It is a tough process to time which is why layne recommends avoiding it because there are so many variables (potassium, sodium, and water level) to adjust and it all depends on your individual body and how it reacts; so there can be no universal guide. I was avoiding it but after taking pictures last weekend and feeling somewhat water heavy, I decided to take the risk and up my sodium / water for the beginning of this week and begin cutting water and sodium and adding potassium and diuretics to flush my system out in the hope of ending saturday extremely cut. We'll see.......

Layne advice has more to do with the fact that in a real contest you only have one shot. You can really blow your one shot if you mess up. In this contest you don't have to be perfect at any particular time.........you can take your best pics on any of the final days. I bet if you emailed Lanye, he would say it would be great for a contest like this with no particular set time for looking your best.
The manipulation is not a trick...it is proven method for most Bodybuilders and almost everyone that competes uses some method of manipulation. As long as you don't do anything too extreme you should be fine. In SDILLY's case, he will be doing a very tame water, carb and sodium manipulation and be able to pick the best days for photo's. When we say sodium manipulation, its so basic...like adding or trying to not have any...thats how basic!

Essay
I have been committing my life to bodybuilding the past two years and have worked extremely hard to put on muscle mass so that when I compete, it shows on stage. Problem is I ate a lot and not necessarily healthy enough. So yes my strength went up but also my fat went way up to. I got bigger but put on to much fat. At times it was hard to breathe or want to get up off the couch. I became very lazy. I took Hydroxycut Hardcore to transform my body and get in top shape to uncover all the muscle I put on. Next time I will be smarter when putting on weight so that it doesnt affect my quality of life. I stopped wearing certain shirts because I felt they made me look worse. Hydroxycut Hardcore helped me get into better shape and make me feel so much better about the way I look.

According to the rules its not mandatory that you post your pictures on the forum thread only that you put them in your progress pictures area on your body space page.
So your all good!
Good Job on your transformation Bro.

I probably don't know a friggin' thing, but if you look that good, why not take some pictures today? Then do a few more sets on other days. Go with the ones you think look the best.

That does feel good, doesn't it? Like I got an e-mail from my old gym manager that went on to greener pastures at a gym with better owners. She wanted an update on my progress. I sent her that side by side I had posted. She printed it and put it in her office she said. So wanted me to give her stats to add to the picture. She said she is bragging about me. Man, that put me on cloud 9. I may not be where I want to be yet, but things like that make my hard work feel worth it! I gave her all my stats. I have been down about where I am at in comparison. Then once I gave her all the before and current stats my jaw dropped. I calculated for her. 26.5 inches I've lost. What the heck? I almost didn't believe it myself. I checked the math on a calculator before I hit send.
We all have so many triumphs in here. I hope everyone finishes, even if they are like me and not perfectly happy with where they are at. Each of you stood up and said "I want to change my body". And you have! It took dedication, hard work, serious diet, and a dual with yourself to keep at it no matter what. Even if you may have lost a small battle here or there you ultimately won.
If this was way too snugly for some, oh well. That's who I choose to be!
