Question Lower back

question for anyone with advice on the best way to train lower back,seems i can never get rid of the water retention an get good definition must be doin something wrong.

deadlift=lower/middle back muscles and hammys/glutes

rack pulls=90%lower/middle back muscles 10%hammys glutes. (maybe not as far as kinesiology is concerned but thats how it feels to most people)

personally, i think that deadlifts only lead to back problems but if you are going to do them, you don't want to go heavy for the whole ruining your back...most gyms have about 5 or 6 back machines...atleast mine does..and it is a hole in the wall ...machines are much safer and allow you to train for more definition.
