Skip the mayo and throw out the bread while you're at it.

Have some mayo just count the calories.
Remember that eating to get big should not be torture.

Personnaly I try not to use up my calories with products that won't fill me up. But again as stated as long as you count it into your intake it's fine. I recommend though to go out and buy "Light Mayo Dressing"; it will have the same affect as mayo to moisten (though it will lack some of the flavor), but it's only like 20 calories per tablespoon.

light mayo is okay if you dont take additional bodyfat (thats depend to your daily nutrition, training, cardio,...). But I am sure you can find better sauces like bbq, chinese sauces,... at the market that contains less fat (but maybe more sugars).

mayo=good for you
lots of mayo=bad for you
like the poster above, 2 tbsp is 100 calories or so. I'd say if you're cutting I'd stay away from it, if you're bulking and need the extra calories, why not?
addition: mayo has a lot of good fats from the oil in it. The problem is is that people who generally eat mayo are overeaters and when they slop an extra 150 cals of mayo on it they're just adding to their daily surplus.

Post the info from the nutritional label on the back of the product you're referring to.
There's variances in a range of different mayos, brands, products etc. so noone right now at this moment can comment accurately without the info to base something on.
It's good to post the ingredients list while you're at it as well.

Don't forget that there are also ways to make healthy mayo with egg whites and olive oil. Look up how to do it online. It's a delicate process but you can end up with some really healthy stuff that tastes good and should last you a week or two per batch.

Just to make a quick point. Olive oil is healthier in terms of nutrients, but it is NOT less calories. Quite often it is actually more calories since olive oil is extremely dense. So, if your going that route, make sure to not overuse it and to definitely keep track of the caloric intake.

I use atleast 1 tbsp (15g) of Light Mayonnaise everyday with my tuna. It is only 5g fat and a source of EFAs.

Geez guys ... Mayo like regural hellman mayonnaise is made with oil, egg and vinegar. For 10 grams fat it contains only 1 saturated fat, the rest is poly-insaturated and mono-insaturated fat.
This is damn good for bulink, just don't abuse.

OP, you'll get a mixed batch of answers. If you like mayo, feel free to eat it in moderation.

it's made from emulsified egg yolk, oils, etc. the protein content is miniscule.

What's good?
There are other less calorically-dense and much more nutritious condiments one can use to moisten chicken.
The same goes for carbs. How about rice, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, etc?
