This thread reminds of a girl in high school who claimed she could hear a dog whistle.

LOL my years of listening to loud music have caught up to me, I can't hear anything above 12. Great 25 years old with the hearing of a 50 year old.

What the hell... just turned my volume up a bit and I can hear up to 17.4 (although it's very faint) - I guess it's a little better at least

there's the story and they'll play the sound for you too. obviously i can hear it, and i'm sure most of you can too. i played it for my dad and he's almost 50 and said he could hear it just fine. how screwed up of hearing do you have to have in order to not hear that?
|

the only reason you can hear the yahoo link is because of their video format
it's not really the exact same as hearing it directly, as if you were there

I can hear it. I think loss of hearing has more to do with going to very loud concerts and blasting your iPod at volume 11 than with age.

my friend had one and would play them all the time to annoy our aerospace teacher...
yes very high pitched,
yes teacher is 50, but he was a fighter pilot at one time(maybe he has very good senses?)
the teacher held us back after class each time this kid played it....
