Driven2009 P90X Journal
I decided to start a journal to document my 90 day P90X Journey. Today is day 3. I will recap day 1 and day 2 below. Here are is my info:
Age: 34
Hgt: 6'2
Wgt: 287
Day 1: Core synergystics
It about killed me. They made me do things I would have never thought of. Felt like puking at the end but I will get thru that. Diet was good.
Day 2: Cardio X
Felt much better today. I like the workouts. It keeps things changing.
Felt whipped at the end but I did as much as I could. Diet was good.
So here is my plan. I will update my journal daily. On day 28 I will post my day 1 photos and my day 28 photos. Why day 28 you ask? Because for some reason that is when the P90X calendar says to take them.
Diet: I am not following the P90X diet. I am eating lean proteins, healthy fats and good carbs.
I will weigh in and post my weight on Mondays.

Day 4
Day 4 was Yoga X.
Yoga was pretty rough. Much harder then I expected. I was soaked with sweat in the first 10 minutes. I enjoyed it though. it is nice to mix things up. Here is what I ate yesterday. I was running around so I couldn't get as many meals in as I wanted
3 eggs & 5 turkey Bacon
Spring Mix Salad w/ Genoa salami and Pepperoni & Balcalmic Vinigrette(Restaraunt)
Broiled Grouper, Fresh Asparagus & Zuchinni
Turkey Pepperoni & Lowfat cheese stick
3 tbsp red fat Peanut Butter
Next Legs, Back and Ab Ripper X

Driven: Good work brother! You ever consider jumping on the beachbody forum where a lot of the Xers hang? forums.teambeachbody.com.
Also, just a note..... I see your doing the lean schedule. Make sure your taking your rest days when you start. Just a thought. YogaX doesn't sound like much, but it's a hell of a workout (which is what you missed). If you go a day behind on your schedule, no worries. If I missed a day sarting, I would either do the missed workout, take the rest day, and keep going on..... or just pick up on the schedule and stay on track. I wouldn't sacrifice the stretch/rest day. This program is hard enough, and that day is precious.
If you have any questions as you go along you can email me at bbcoachjohn@gmail.com. Here is my Beachbody profile www.teambeachbody.com/johnnyx
Keep bringing it!
Johnny

Driven, good to see you have decided to start the program. i see you are doing the lean version. I am on day 20 of the classic version and i can honestly say this program is no joke. i was in somewhat decent shape starting up and still getting my ass kicked, but it's all about determination.
One thing that stood out in your posts is that you are not following the diet plan,,,, let me suggest that you do man, because it is tailored specifically for the shocks your body will be experiencing along the way. if you keep the same diet, as healthy as it may be, for 90 days, it's like doing the same workout for 90 days...... i dont have time to cook all the stuff they suggest in the nutrition guide. I am however, following a strict portion plan, which although is not as tasty, is just as effective... and thus far it has worked for me..... in just 3 weeks i've lost 8 lbs and 6% BF, so something is working....
By the way, i have a journal on this section as well http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=115479991 feel free to pop in and share your thoughts from time to time.

no worries driven,,,,,
i just subscribed to your thread so i will pop in here to see how things are going for you.... i'm a rookie top90x myself so we'll be lerning together along the way. but he one thing i've come to realize that the diet does indeed play a BIGGER role in the program than the workouts themselves.

I guess you're doing kenpo today then huh? I kind of enjoyed kenpo; I think I am going to add a heavy bag to it instead of just hitting air.

Weigh In Day!
Weigh In Day!
Day 1: 287 lbs
Day 6: 278.2 lbs (-8.8) (actually after 1 week P90X. it says day 6 due to missed workout)
I missed 2 days due to a crazy work schedule so my solution is I am going to do my P90X before work. I will wake up at 4am and do it then. S
The 2nd part of my solution is today would have been day 8 however I did the day 5 workout yesterday and will due day 6 today that way I will get my full 90 days. Today will be Kenpo X for me.

Actually I will do it today because of a missed workout. So I will be nipping at your heals. I wanted to get the full 90 days so that is why I didn't just skip it. I guess I am a glutton for punishment.

Ok sorry, i was misreading the lean calendar i guess. I don't do core synergistics until day 22 - lucky me Although I do have to do plyometrics tonight which is pretty brutal.
I think I'm going to pop in the core synergistics DVD to see what is in store for me...

Day 8 Core Synergystics
This is definitely harder then any workout I have ever done outside outside of P90X. I definitrly made inprovement tis week. I completed more exercises and did not feel like I was gonna vomit. It is hard to believe how soaked in sweat you get.
Tomorrow is Day 9 Cardio X!

I looked at the DVD and it didn't look easy. My first core synergistics session is week 4 day 1. This is supposed to be a rest week - hah!

wow,,, pretty impressive to wake up that early to get to work,,,,,, i personally do not function well that early.
so how are you feeling thus far????? are you following the nutrition plan? i remember at around day 10 i started feeling really weak bc of the carb deprivation, and it was not until about day 15 that i bounced back.
