N.P.C. Figure competitions
I have competed in natural bodybuilding and I am now interested in crossing over into the N.P.C Figure shows. I am interested in any info on what the judges are looking for in the figure division. I have gotten mixed info and I am concerned that I might be too muscular for this division. Some of the pics I have seen in previous shows the girls look like me, and then some shows they are less athletic looking. I have won all 4 of my bodybuilding shows, so I want to do well in any future shows, so please any info is appreciated. Many thanks!! :-)

Congrats on your shows!! You're not too muscular for figure. I compete in bb, but I've crossed over into figure a few times. I've done well in both. You never know what the judges are looking for until that day...it's always different. I've been to shows where the muscular, leaner girl wins and other shows where they pick the softer look...it's a crap shoot lol!!

Congrats on your accomplishments so far, you look great! Figure is very subjective and it really varies from one show to the next as to what the judges want to see.
A great resource is www.figureathlete.com, it's full of figure competitors and great information about contest prep.

I looked at your contest photos, you are in superb shape. I do not think you are "too big" to be in the figure shows. Everyone is different, but the figure shows rely more on body composition than size. Proportion is always a factor, but you need to remember that size does not always equal better. Bodybuilding leans more towards size+proportions.
