ROM is up to 120 degrees today. I had to move PT to just 2 days a week because of complications with our insurance, but I think I'll be OK since I'm getting closer to full ROM and walking some.
Finally got a gym membership today. Thank Godddd! I think I'm gonna go either tonight or tomorrow and do some biking and try doing some upperbody work. I desperately need to get a good workout in.

Your health insurance schemes suck!
You are allowed to drive at 65MPH in the first year of having your licence? Over here, you can do 80km/h as a learner, 90km/h on first year of licence and 100km/h on second and third years of licence.

maybe other contries work differently
but if you want to drive on the highway, with the speed limit at 65, limiting someone to under 50 mph or so is not a good idea - try driving 50 on the highway, things dont work out so well

Yes, but young drivers don't have the skill to operate a car at 65MPH safely, even if they think they do.
It works out fine here with the slower cars....the alterantive is for young drivers to drive faster and kill themselves and others..which is what they are tending to do unfortunately!
Unfortunately, you proved what can happen with a novice driver doing 65MPH!

Hmm...I disagree(strong 16-year-old lol). We may not have the experience to where people trust us, but in general we can drive just as good. I think my main problem is getting distracted, whether it's from a cell phone or just looking at random ****.
-------- I've been walking around some at home for practice, but for some reason I still have a limp-ish walk. Any reason I might have a odd walk? I kinda lean to the bad knee when I walk.

Elbow
I had an elbow injury last June that put me out of the gym for a long time. The Navy doctors never really told me what it was that I did, but I think i hyper-extended my elbow. Until december i refrained from working any triceps, but slowly i have worked them back into my regiment. I do, however, still feel pain, and I believe it is tendon related. Is this going to be a problem that I will have for the rest of my life? Is it something I can improve? If I do have to cope with it will compression wraps help?
Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated or even to talk to someone who has dealt with a similar injury.
Thanks

Like most 16yo, your perception of driving ability far exceeds your actual driving ability.
Your driving skills take about 5 years to fully develop: as evidenced by your poor ability to focus!

Today I had therapy again. ROM got up to 122 degrees, but that was after pushing pretty hard just to get it. Only got 120 with a guy who's like the assistant, and was ticked at that so I stayed and did a little extra time on the bike and then went for a better ROM and got it. I think my quad strength must be lacking, so I'm gonna place emphasis on that strongly.

make sure u work your VMO intesely (thats the inside of the quad) with just flexin at first an straight leg raises then move onto leg press an leg exstensions
thatll make sure your kneecap stays straight when u recover an you wont have any further problems

Hit 127 degrees on Thursday. That was solid.
Been trying to push hard to improve my strength in certain regions of my upper leg. My therapist has told me which ones to focus on in order to walk better, so I've been doing some exercises which hit that muscle.
I have a appointment with my physician Thursday. Should be interesting to see what advice he has to say, etc. Hopefully I don't need to be manipulated. :/

Appointment update -- Went well. He said my ROM was the best he had seen. I go back in about 6-8 weeks.
ROM is at 131 degrees now. Another 19-25 degrees is hopefully in the books
I'm working on my hip lately because it's kinda tight. Doing some exercises for it and trying to strengthen my quads(although I think they're getting somewhat strong anyway).

Fresch, if you get on please answer to this.
I've been having gait problems and I'm basically flexing my hip whenever I walk. I don't know if that's not trusting my quads, or my hips are tight, or what. I've just recently began doing some hip stretching exercises, because after watching me walk my therapists thought my hip was tight. Are you familiar with these problems? It's not like I have foot drop or something. I personally don't feel my quad is THAT bad.
What do you recommend I do to fix that? I'm doing the exercises they've gave me, but I'm inpatient lol.

Explain: you are not extending your hip enough or are you keeping your hip and knee bent as you put weight on the bad knee?

No. I'm actually putting most of my weight on my bad knee. But when I do it I kinda like flex my hip. It's weird. Almost like a not trusting my quad muscles thing.

So as you step on your bad leg, you keep your hip and knee a bit flexed.
Not unusual, come form walking that way in the brace, not trusting the quads / not having strength AND stability in the knee, tight hip flexors, weak gluteals.
Do you do a lot of balance work?

Oh ok. So you're saying my butt is weak?
Not a lot. I mainly do balance work at therapy for a few minutes. I haven't been trying it at home.

ROM hit 134 today at physical therapy. I'm gonna stop using a crutch at all sometime this week. Time to get rid of that thing!
Progress is coming.

for anyone who has such knowledge - I am still shocked at how slow his progress is
is what I did (ACL + manisucus) that much easier to rehab from then what he had (ACL/PCL/MCL + maniscus)
i was under the impression that the ACL was the biggest problem (*80% stabliity of the knee) - I know ppl are able to come back within in a month from a total MCL tear
is it just all of them at once, or what gives?
also - does anyone think its more difficult to gain mass in your injured leg, I sure as hell do, gains seem to be so slow, _ i figured I should have caught up to my good leg by now (8 months out)

Yes, it is much easier. There's a big difference. I think any knee specialist would tell you that.
I'm only 2.5 months post surgery BTW.
I would assume it'd catch up quick, but Idk. My left arm was in a cast and lost muscle and it's been catching back up quick. Legs are probably different though.

Multi-ligament damage is much more substantial than isolated ACL damage (even with meniscal damage), and the OP has had 2 surgeries remember.

yea, it just seemed extensively so, however
for instance - I was walking w/o crutches 3 days out - i think it took you well over 2 months
