I hardly get emotional but trying to stay professional and not show emotion during "open ramp" ceremonies in Iraq and memorials was hard.

Also being part of the firing squad for 21 gun salute for a young PFC [he was 19] who got killed in Afgan in 2006 was really, really hard after seeing his parents and family.

my dads in afghan right now, he deployed in feb and i get to talk him once evry other week maybe. he has to miss my graduation and when he gets back it'll be after i've left for college, so my last months at home he has to miss. it makes me sad to think about it.
