Have a feeling we're going to see the full out Cerebrus form of Smokey at least, that we've only really seen when he summoned it to kill the Mercenaries. Think we'll finally see that Ben is in fact the good guy, and it's been the people around him and Widmore that corrupted him.

We just had episode 11 and there is a total of 17 episodes this season. Episode 16/17 "the incident" are the Finale so they air the same night.

lulz. at the very least, and perhaps Smokey will join the gangbang.
Great episode last night. And if we hadn't seen Locke at the end I might've thrown my TV. We need some more Locke ASAP.

What if Richard and Smokey are the same thing? And they're just maifestations of each other?

I'm glad you brought this up. Now that we have an idea of what the rules are, perhaps that means Ben has been further into the future and Alex was not dead. Or perhaps he had knowledge of what was supposed to happen.
I also still want to know more about Miles.
Also, they should do a whole episode of just Kate in the shower. It could be a pay per view event so we wouldn't have to worry about censorship.

i've actually thought about this. i don't think anything yet has lead us to believe otherwise. they both seem to "protect" the island. and we know that the smoke "guards" the ancient ruins - the same ones richard took ben into whilst taking away his "innocence" (i'm still giggling about that, tee hee)

I think that Richard never ages because of the temple. Anyone inside the temple becomes immortal. I think that he has been there since the Black Rock. Maybe he was the captain of the Black Rock?

yes - last night richard and a hostile specifically said he should talk to Charles first (and Daniel's mom, Molli?) but didn't care what he would say
edit: I meant Ellie, not Mollie

My ending theory for lost is based almost entirely off the ending of one of my favorite Stephen King book's that has a lot of similarities.

Disclaimer I'm still working on it. There's almost 0 proof and evidence for it, and everything that could be considered as proof is extremely circumstantial. Based almost entirely on speculation. End Disclaimer.
I'll tell you the major part of my theory though,
Jack, after much "faith" searching finally see's Jacob's cabin. He stops at the door hesitant. He opens the door and then...
Something happens to Jack and he is transported through time (this could be through island jumping, through conscious traveling, etc. I don't know).
Jack wakes up here in 2004, at the very beginning of the series:
He doesn't remember anything he's went through in the past few years that lead him up to that moment, he only remembers what he has been through up unto that point. He is forced to relive his life for the next 3 or so years with subtle differences, until he is 100% prepared to meet Jacob and until the universe is completely satisfied enough to not do course correction.
Thus bringing the story completely full circle, and we as an audience realize this could have potentially been going on forever. Everything's a loop.

On the contrary, it's a pretty beautiful ending. It's not a happy ending. As long as we get an explanation for smokey and Richard at the end of the day, I'm happy.

Almost as soon as Jack woke up, he was chasing his dad. What was his dad wearing? A black suit.
The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.
I think Christian is more of a Walter. Not in the evil sense, but in the sense that Christian knows that Jack needs to do certain things in order for resolution to happen, good or bad.
In terms of personality though, yeah Ben = Walter. Sheer manipulation, both claim to work for a higher power but we both know that they are in it for themselves, etc.
Although, the same could be said for Christian, we just haven't learned much about him yet.

Haha, I've never saw The Stand. In my head though my image of Walter is much more...suave, I guess is the right word. Not so rough looking, a face you would trust.

Well,
Regardless if my theory is right, we know with 100% certainty that the island physically put Jack there in that place in 2004. The same way he was transported off of the Ajira flight. So we can reasonably say that the islands interaction with Jack comes extremely early on. This is one reason I think the way I do.
The original reason this theory came to mind was back a few seasons in a Desmond episode. We met one of his friends that said something like "if you run an experiment ten times you'll get ten different results."
Then with all of the looping, all of the Dark Tower references in the series, all the talk of universal course correction, and the fact that JJ/Damon/Carlton will be writing and directing the Dark Tower movie, it just seems like too many clues for it not to be so.
