Ribs in my opinion were twice as painful as any part of my arms. Chest is a little bit worse than ribs as well.

i have traps, upper chest, sternum, alot of back and upper arms and lower stomach work.
sternum is agony. i've heard close to the armpit and behind the knees is allmost as bad.
i would think upper ribs would be worse than inner arm.
either way don't let pain be a factor. just do it, it'll make for a funny story later.

The only time I really felt any pain when I got my tat on my ribs was when they did the backside of it.

i have both arms done, half/quarter sleeves... i found upper arm near the armpit so "inside" was the worst, depends on the amount of time in that area, to be honest i found the top of my shoulder (bone) hurt the most, but the spot by ur arm pit is NO FUN.

I have no experience with rib area (though I would like to go there next) but as for inside the arm I was prepared for that to be extra painful also. It was probably the least painful if you can call any of them painful. I always got a rush when I was getting inked so it never felt like pain.

i have a tat on my ribs (the leanest part) and i can honestly tell you that it hurts just as bad (if not worse) than people say it does. Mine took 40 mins and I had sweat through my jeans. Serious. It was absolutely brutal, but I really wanted it there sooo....I sucked it up.
Tats aren't supposed to feel good - if you really want one there just suck it up and do it. I wasn't disappointed/regretful at all. It was 45 mins of pain for a lifetime of enjoyment

First off - props on the ribs tats...
But I strongly dissagree about tats not feeling good. I have an addiction to them..... I seriously love that feeling!!!!!
Rib cage next for me, inside of both arms didn't hurt one bit.....

If you have your ribs done then the pain of the inner bicep isnt going to bother you. I have both sides of my ribs and nothing has really even given me noticable pain since.

Thanks! It hurt really bad, but I had the most amazing rush afterwards. I'm going into the military soon and have to hold off on getting another one until I'm in. Otherwise, I'd have 5 more by now! I'm addicted too.
My artist kept asking me if I was sure that I wanted to get my first tat on my ribs since its a particularly sensitive spot. It felt like someone took a jackhammer to my ribs, but my boyfriend got one right after me on his chest and he was talking about how much it tickled.....

Agreed if you have your ribs done the inner bicep won't bother you at all. Depends if you're going anywhere under the armpit. I have from just below my pant line, right up to my armpit done on my ribs and around my back just till the nipple. The worst part was around the nipple (got the death rattle that shot across to the other nipple haha) and all up around the top. Mine took about 4 hours in the first sitting for the outline and black and grey shading. Will be another 2 hours for colouring.
