fruit and cellulite
I find myself snaking on fruits quite a bit and I know its a need for sugar. I dont take sugar in my food or drinks I eat probably a portion of pastry or a sweet bake once a month and I never have a fruit juice.
What should I do when I am craving fruits, I know its a good thing and a curse, I have tried spices, spoon full of honey sugar free lollipops, chocolate raw flake things, drinking herbal tea and I cannot get it to go away. I really dont like sugary drinks.
How should I look at this what is my problem? Am I jeopardizing my weight loss.
I was also reading a post on how to get rid of cellulite on legs. The thing is I am still unclear as to how much I have to work out, I do 3 times a week running and in the evenings I go through 2 hours cardio.
I am having trouble seeing changes in my body this has never happened before. My body always shows signs of change. How long does it take for muscles to start forming, and for the fat on the legs to go away. I have dieted before and formed some graet muscles on my legs but that was not the target area so it was a bonus when it did come together but now I want to get in shape again. What should I do to get rid of cellulite? Its my lower body that has the hardest time keeping up.
What is the realistic time period to see muscles? I am so confused.

I don't think there is anything wrong with eating fruits. Fruit is a natural food. There are different types of fruits that affect your blood sugar differently. Are you weight training at all? I was under the assumption that really the only way to get rid of cellulite is through eating clean and a good weight training/cardio routine. There really is no quick fix. But I could be wrong.. lol Good luck!

I dont want to reduce my eating any more than I have, I thought maybe I should tighten my fruit intake. because its my weakness?
To get cellulite 'burnt up' I have to lose a lot of fat. but my body only reaches body fat on my legs when there is no more fat to burn on the upper half. I dont want to lose anything on the upper half I just want to get my legs in shape.

stick to berries and granny smith apples, they are lowest in sugar.
for losing cellulite you need to firm up the muscle underneath with weight training while doing cardio to reduce bodyfat. You can't 'spot reduce' the fat on your legs, fat loss is evenly distributed even though it seems to come from your upper body first. females carry more fat on their lower body, that is why you are slow to see results in that area.
keep training with weights, watch your diet and throw in some cardio and you should see results.

you said it yourself here.
cellulite is fat. it looks icky because of the storage pattern.
females in general are screwed in that they store the majority of their fat in the lower body and that fat is VERY hard to get rid of. it doesn't respond well to fat-burning stimuli and has a poor blood flow - if and once the fatty acids are mobilised, transport tends to suck which means they can't be used by the body effectively.
as women predominantly store fat on their legs, hips and butt there is a LOT of goo (more than you realise) in there, ergo more cellulite.
eating 'fruit' has not a lot to do with it. it's the overall diet that matters

I think the option is to experiment a little more drink a lot of water.
I will be probably reducing my cals, starting with what I can afford to get rid off.

Fruit is GOOD for you! People are scared of sugars, but the sugars in fruit are natural and therefore a good addition to your diet. Stay away from bananas because they have so much fat. Great fruits are apples and grapes. Grapes are actually the lowest on the glycemic index... meaning that the sugar doesn't spike your metabolism and they keep you feeling fuller longer.
Cellulite will only go away with reduction of fat and clean diet. End of story. If you have it on you butt do tons of squats and lunges, basically firm that area as much as you can. But it won't look any different if it has that layer of fat over it.

I agree. we women tend to lose those cellulite slower and harder. Increase cardio and do more weight training in those problem areas. But be sure to control food intake. Less fat. Results may be slow but you will get there.

If you are concerned about the sensitivity of your body to the sugar in friut then be very conscious of the times in which you eat fruit. Mornings (when your glycogen is low), pre-workout, and post-workout. This will mazimize your potential to use the nutrients and natural sugars in fruit for energy in your workouts and also help your body recover faster. By no means should you cut fruit from your diet. Remember though to watch your portions; a bunch of bananas is not considered one serving

I guess 0.4g in a medium banana is too much
"In their lesser ripe stages, bananas score as low as 30 on the glycemic index (below 50 would be considered low). In their riper stages, this number usually rises to a moderate level in the 60's. All of the above features help place banana in a more favorable digestive light than might otherwise be expected for a sugary fruit."
"Bananas are a very good source of vitamin B6 and a good source of vitamin C, potassium, dietary fiber, and manganese."

At risk of sounding goofy here, on my "cheat" day is when I will eat a banana. And a Kashi Oat Waffle with 1 tbsp. of honey on it. Otherwise, I usually eat apples or small oranges. And I was told by a trainer to eat my carbs (any carbs) along with protein. Apparently, this prevents spikes in insulin which would cause the body to store fat.
