gap between bottom portion of pecs.. grr
My chest is slowly getting bigger and i am slowly getting stronger, as my pecs grow i can see even more that they are connected fine on the top half in the center, but as you go down there is a gap between the two. I hate it, I want a straight line going down but it seems like my chests been built that way since i can remember, back into highschool. Is there anyway to close the gap? or is it just genetics?
on days i do chest i usually do:
barbell bench (flat, incline, decline/or dips)
Flys (incline, flat)
then just my tricep stuff
thanks

I'm no doctor but my friend told me once that its caused by the rib cage or something. But yeah I have the same problem I justt gave up on it cause I can physicaly tell that the muscle doesn't even expand to that area its just not attached in that region. My gap is about a solid inch and I just have learned to accept it. Genetics ftl. Sorry for no help just though I would let you know you're not alone.

sorry brah sounds like bad luck of the genetics. but try dips(leaning forward slightly) and decline flyes. these might help but if you are designed to always have this "gap" then i cant help you.

It's mostly determined by how the muscle connects to your sternum. The gap can close a bit as your chest increases in fullness, but that's just appearance. Beyond surgery, not much else can be done I believe.
