You should post up some workout videos on bb.com.
Anyways, my question for you is on some days we notice our body is weaker right... should we decrease the weight in order to do the same weight as previous session or keep it and just do lesser weight?
For example, you pull 10-12 reps with 185 on the incline bench previous session BUT....
Today's session, you can only get 185 on incline for 6-7 reps...
So should you keep it HIT like that or drop it to maybe 155-165 and try to get that 10-12 reps too???
Thanks, and best wishes, stay healthy

Always have to "go with the flow"...if you're not "feeling it" on a given day, then you need to adjust the workout accordingly...
Cant beat world records every day...

Sounds like the program is about right...dont be fooled into thinking that you are losing LEAN muscle...what you're losing is SIZE....comprised of fat and water.
All part of the mental process of coping with and knowing what you're looking at....a better, leaner physique

No....but you wont be getting the total amount of food in required by simply eating before bed.
You need more meals throughout the day....there is no advantage of eating before bed, and more often than not, it will impair your ability to sleep, which results in LESS recovery

if your bulking and eating between 300-400g carbs a day, cant u still burn fat effectively using slow cardio?
if so, how long would be dieal for the sessions, would they need to be upward of 60 mins? should they be slightly more intense (if only just)?

Hey Bob,
Sorta an off-topic question, but it has been bugging the hell out of me. Your co-host of PBBW, Dan, knows a ton about bodybuilding, its history and all the current happenings in the industry. Obviously he is not a pro and has never competed, but does he do any kind of training or exercise? thanks.

Compared to my back and shoulders I don't think they're big enough, so for aesthetics.

Bob,
I was wondering, for an 18-year-old is it recommended to take any type of fat burning product, such as Mitotropin or Animal Cuts, or should I stay away from those. Also, if I should stay away, which of these would you recommend for optimal fat loss if you could only choose one- green tea extract, L-Carnitine, or CLA. Thank you.

Bob
I'm not really new to BB.com, but I am just now taking advantage of the forum...and I'm a big fan of your videos...I basically have three questions
1. I was at GNC buying some True Mass and got into a bodybuilding conversation...and the guy I was talking to basically thought that bodybuilding will NEVER become mainstream again due to the steroid controversies within the MLB and pro wrestling...he thinks seeing bodybuilding back on ESPN will make the public think that we're glorifying roids.
2. On the topic of gear...I am lifting for pure enjoyment and I am a fan of bodybuilding...I follow my diet and I enjoy seeing my body get lean...for someone who likes to bodybuild as more of hobby and not professionally....do you feel it's unnecessary to endulge in "extra" stuff to speed up my physique.
3. Also, I'm such a huge fan of the video series' on BB.com, I just finished War for the Worlds and I think this is an awesome series. My other favorite is Getting Cut with Glass....can we expect more shows in the future featuring you and/or Charles Glass?
4. (one more quickie...will Olympia ever tour again?)
Forgive me if some of these topics have been asked/answered already...
Thanks Bob, it's awesome you take the time to answer your fans and actively participate like this...you have such a heart for the sport and its fans....truly awesome.

You can eat whatever you want...the point is, that there is no magic to eating just before bedtime.
As for how long before, that depends on how long it takes you to digest, and if eating closer to sleeping disturbs your sleep

Depends on if an 18 year old needs to lose fat...
You dont have to stay away from any of them...try them all and change them up frequently

1. Your first mistake was buying anything from GNC...
That said, your friend is right in that BB will never be mainstream...
Your friend is wrong as to what the reason is. It's got nothing to do with drugs, and everything to do with numbers. There arent enough numbers of people interested to make it worth televising
2. No...what would the point be?
3. Thats up to the boys in the front office...
4. Possible...not probable. It makes a whole lot of sense to hold it in Vegas for a lot of reasons. I dont believe people would be as willing to travel to a place where there isnt much else going on, let alone overseas...

Dan trains on a regular basis to keep in shape. But you're wrong on his background...he actually has competed in the NPC some years ago...

Hey Bob, can you give me some advice on how to start a bodybuilding career? I've been working out for the past two years (I'm 15 years old) just on my own but I'm wanting to start getting serious about it and make it "my thing" but I just don't have much direction to go on because it's not like football or baseball where your school can guide you.

Bob,
The weeks leading up to my competitions I watch your War for the World Championship. My question is about legs. I have some lower back issues where my spinal erectors spasm when I go over 300 lbs with the barbell squats. I heard you mentioned that you have some lower back issues as well, yet your leg development is still awesome. What are some exercises I can do to continue to develop my quads? My hams are good to go.
Thanks and keep up the great work!
Ben

Dont go over 300 squatting, first of all...
No one says you have to do them at all...plenty of other leg exercises....extensions, hacks, presses, lunges

Not as long as you're training different BP's in your workouts...how many times a week are you training each body part?
