I honestly back this up completely.
If your body is so used to one routine over and over again, in this case dieting 24/7, it is good to throw it off a little bit. Granted some people simply can't cheat and go out and drink, they will just feel like crap and "notice" the weight on them. Others need a time to relax in order to go back to the long stretch of their diets.
The body has psychological needs too. There's no harm in treating yourself a little if it makes you feel better. This is the best way to stick to a diet program or exercise routine. However, knowing when to stop is the key.
Oh and the post before about BBers cheating...I read once that this bodybuilder would go out to any fast food chain he saw and order the biggest meal they had on the menu. This was all on a cut, and he did it to keep his sanity.
