Work is a workout?

My profession is a butcher, and I lift a lot of weight during the course of the day. (Some days when throwing the new load of product I can lift easily several thousand pounds) My question to everyone out there is;

Does this negatively affect my lifting routine/schedule? Should I be focusing more on some exericises then others? Should I plan my rest days differently? We get a load 3 times a week at work, so most times I am working out at home at night after having thrown a load at work that morning.

Thanks in advance!
