On the road to GREAT GLUTES!!
Well, i know now that i should have started a journal a LONG time ago. I'm sure it would of helped me alot in this process! Somewhere to vent and express my feelings!!!
I am currently one week and 4 days out to my first competition.
I'm doing FAME WEST March 28th 2009. Fitness and bikini model,
Now i know it's not figure, and im sure alot of people think that bikini and fitness model prep is an easy task, but its not!
I started in mid-December at 155 lbs. Alot of weight in my lower half....actually, just alot of weight everywhere. I was not lean to begin with and i have worked my ASS off to get where i am currently.
i am now 134 lbs. i have lost countless inches also. i took my waist from 29 inches to 25.5 currently. i have come a long way!!! and i have learned so much. this experience has been such a great journey for me and i have never felt better.
I have my bad days...but all in all i am loving this process.
Personallly..., yes i want to place top 3..but even if i don't i know i am still a winner. I TRANSFORMED my body. i changed my mindset. i became a stronger person. Physically and mentally.
I pushed the limits.
I never gave up.
today was leg day. i didnt want to train. i dreaded the 200 step ups, 100 lunges and countless other exercises i had to do. Nevermind the 45 minutes of cardio after i was done my training.
I whimpered through it all..buti still keep pushing.
i was even in tears as i pushed out my last reps on my leg press...but i kept going.
I finished and took my glutamine and looked up at the stairs leading to the cardio room. i did not want to go up there.
but i found myself lugging my tired less than 2 week out body up those stairs and heading to the cardio machines...
i started on the elleptical...so tired..telling myself i would stop at 10 minutes because i needed to rest...but kept going past 15, 20, 30 and finally made it through the whole 45 minutes, sweat covered!!!
victory!!!another day done!!!!!
excited and nervoud for peak week starting Saturday!!!
im excited for the chocolate almonds i get to eat before going on stage...yum!!!

I am rooting for you!!! Maybe we can support each other...I have a journal on here as well and I am hoping to get some great glutes too....my quads are coming along nicely but those glutes are behind (no pun intended) LOL!

yep!!! its that darn ham-glute tie in area!!! my quads are rock hard but the space just below the bum is behind schedule!!!
i had a killer leg day today
60 minutes am 12 % incline whole time for cardio and sqeezing those glutes!!
steps ups, lunges and the like!!!

yup that part right below the butt ARRRRGGGGHHH!!! Well I'm glad to know that I am not alone...good luck with your competition! Please keep updating about it!

diet is killer! But weird how my favourite phase has been 4 weeks out.. which is up on saturday, then i start peak week.
4 weeks out all my shakes were taken out so i am only eating whole foods, and i feel fuller and feel like im eating more food than i was at 12, 9 and 6 weeks out!
maybe it's because i shrunk my stomach...lol
1 - 5 oz chicken, 4 tbsp cream of wheat (measured dry)
2- 5 egg whites, 4 tbsp creamy rice (measured dry)
3- 5 oz chicken, 1 yellow pepper, 20 green beans
4- 4 oz white fish (usually basa or sole)
5- 5 oz fish, 10 asparagus, 1/2 of a cucumber
6- 4 egg whites, other half of the cucumber
currently drinking 7 litres of water a day - on saturday its up to 10 litres of distilled...
no more spices, salts, splendas or diet cokes! plain everything!
I RIPPED it up at cardio this morning! damn it felt good!!!!
even after leg day yesterday!
run 4 minutes at 6.5, off treadmill and did lunges for 1 minute - 60 minutes!
then i get my chicken and cream of wheat! YUM!!!
i am in the home stretch now - not slowing down and not giving up!
will post later tonight

Wow that diet sounds killer! But it's all gonna pay off! Keep it up...you are a monster in the gym! That's so great!

COMPLETE MONSTER! sweat dripping in my eyes, chin, grunting! haha but not too loud! you gotta push past your comfort zone if you wanna see results! thats what my coach taught me! and it's so true!!

Today was a hard day...
it seems my moods go up and down so radically....one day i feel okay and the next i feel like biting heads off. it evens goes up and down by the hour..
im hungry and tired!! i hate waiting until i can have my next meal!
Saturday it will get harder when my diet gets stricter for peak week.
On Wednesday i have zero carbs. just chicken and asparagus! i am not looking forward to it... at least that is when i get my hair and nails done!!
thursday i start carb up! finally! yams and rice cakes - i never thought i would be so excited!!
Is it this hard for everyone their first time around? i guess so...becaus if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
i did have alot of leaning out to do in the first place... i wasnt in "great" shape...*sigh*
i feel so bloated.. i still feel fat!!! i am not used to my new body and ahh i dont know!! i am just having a bad day!
hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Everyone keeps telling me how great i look but i just cant see it!
I NEED TO BE MORE POSITIVE AND BELIEVE IN MYSELF

Today was better! it goes one day crappy and one day good! LOL
I made it through another week!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYY!!
tonight is my last outing until the show. im going to see a movie with my girlfriend...
Because after tonight i will be drinking tons of water and needing to pee every 5 minutes! so i will either be at home work or gym!
I just cooked up most of my peak week food...
tons of chicken (still need more), weighed and marked with a sharpie for how many ounces...
snapper..
egg whites
asparagus portioned in saran wrap...
yams
etc...
i love to be orginized! so if i am in a rush, i can just grab n go! you never know when you have to take a meal with you...
i have gallon jugs of distilled water all lined up at my doorway! hahah i will be carrying those around with me everywhere!
I AM READY! I AM PREPARED!
Starting to pack my bag already...making sure i will have everything ready to go Saturday morning! i dont want to forget something silly like one shoe or the bottoms to my one piece!!
gotta hit the showers, go see a movie and then hit the hay because i gotta rock cardio tomorrow morning, abs, tons of lunges and hit my posing HARD!!!
BRING ON PEAK WEEK!!

Im still pluggin away here ladies!!!
Yesterday was the first day of peak week diet and 10 l of water and i did good! eating every 2 hours and drinking all that water helps a great deal with the hunger....
i feel sluggish and tired but that means im doing something right! im seeing changes everyday now!!!
i just cooked up a batch of dark chocolate protein pancakes with my NEW magic bullet for after the show! yum!!
i bought that new magic bullet platinum pro because i didnt have a food processor, blender or a coffee grinder and the bullet is all those in one! so now i can have super fresh coffee, wicked shakes and do more in the kitchen!
man i miss cooking!!! i have a whole bunch of super clean recipes i am dying to try out after the show!
im kind of sad this whole new journey is almost to an end.
no one forgets their first show...i have worked hard and learned so much and met sooo many great people!
Today was my last posing class with all the girls on TEAM ENERGY before the show, but i will be posing everyday until friday to perfect!!!!!
and i had a great bootcamp afterwards! i LOVE my coach! she just won class f at the arnold ametuer for figure!! shes amazing and pushes me sooo hard and she has given me the tools to transform my body in a matter of months!!!
it was great, lots of abs and whole body! sweat sweat sweat and WORK!!
not long now....gonna coast right on it..
starting to pack my bag and make sure i have everything together and ready to go..
hair and nails on wednesday...burnout workouts on monday and wednesday...jan tana spray tan on friday night...
ahhhh gonna be a hard week but i can make it!!

hmm...where is the fame west? is it being held @ the hotel outside of waterfront station? i've been there for a few of our city's health shows/health conventions in the last 6 months or so.

- Take the Personal Training final exam & practical by the end of Nov. (Did courses from Sept '08 --> Sept '09.) Finish studying my ass off 1st, though. =P (...in between teaching all of these "Trancerobics" classes. xD)
- Make it to 150 lbs lost! =O (300'ish --> LEAN 150/17.5%; am currently lean'ish ~175/~25%, approx?)

wow!!!
i cant believe i made it through my last carb depletion day with a smile and a great attitude all day!!!
I had zero carbs but i still rocked out two sessions of cardio and managed to work! lol.. mind you, i got off early to go get my hair, nails and toes done!
I FEEL GREAT
I FEEL READY!!!
i am so pumped up for this!!!
