TinFoil, you're a strong guy for dealing with this and I'm glad to see that you're doing better. Please PM me if you ever need anything dude, and continue to stay positive about the treatment process, as grueling as it is. You're almost there!

Glad you are almost there bro you have stayed so possitive through all this and i found it is the best way to be. My markers were actually back to normal after the first chemo cycle but i had to do the three cycles anyway. I am feeling really positive for you and cant wait for you to get back to normal and gain that weight. Keep strong bro and dont let anything get you down you are a warrior.

thanks a lot! yea staying positive is all i can do really. also, ive been taking an anti-depressant called remeron since my first cycle and im guessing that helped a lot with staying positive.

no, if they were going to, they would have done it during the surgery where they removed my right nut. i wud hate having a fake nut anyways.

yea i agree staying positive is the best thing u can do for urself and also since i have a 98% chance of living its hard not to stay positive. im so thankful i dont have a more serious cancer where i might die. sounds weird to say but everything happens for a reason and im thankful for getting the most curable cancer out there. i know someone whos friend just got fired and then got diagnosed with lymphoma and only has 2 weeks-1 month to live. life can be fu.cked up.

well guys, today was my last full day of chemo. atleast, thats wut im hoping. i have 2 more days of chemo, this tuesday and the following tuesday but its not a full day of chemo, just 1 shot of bleomycin, so yea i still need to get another C T scan in a week or 2 to officially show that im cancer free but last week my blood/tumor markers were zero, so all is going to planned. i just hope the side effects wont be too bad. this weekend might be rough, but w.e im almost done! ugh, its rough tho.

i had my right nut cut off because of testicular cancer. my ordeal wasn't bad at all....i read on the internet how the cure rate when found really early is like 98-99% so i never got stressed about it. from the time i found it to the time i got it removed and declared cancer free was like 2 weeks or something. i'm a confident person and only having 1 nut doesn't effect me at all.
--- Really the only thing that has really affected me is the medical bills. I had a 5k health insurance deductable because i was in great shape and perfect health and now i'll end up spending like 15k on medical bills. THAT is the part that is depressing to me....i could have used that as a down payment on a condo or to pay for going back to college. I was in decent shape financially and now i'll barely get by for a while. At the end of the day I still have to be very thankful that I caught it early and didn't have to go through anything like chemo.

well this experience has given me a new outlook on life. im grateful everyday that i caught the cancer early, and that i got one of the most curable cancers out there. im still weak and sick from chemo but i cant wait till i feel 100% again etc. it can take up to 1 year to get back to normal but im hoping ill be healthy again in just a few months. anyways, its hard to say how this whole ordeal has affected me right now, but in a few months when this is all said and done, ill come back to this thread and post how i feel.

well......im cancer free as of yesterday! my dr. told me im 99% cured and legally cant say im 100% cured for another year and a half because there is always a slight chance of the cancer coming back but yea, im cancer free and loving life right now! it hasnt sunk in yet, and im still weak and feeling crappy but over the next few months ill get back to feeling normal and a lot better. i cant get my portacath taken out for like 6 months so that means i cant lift weights until i get it taken out. oh well, im just going to gain some weight in the meantime. im like 140 right now, i want to get to atleast 150 by the time i start lifting again.
oh and i have shingles. it sucks but hey its nothing compared to cancer. shingles is like a rash that forms if ur immune system is low etc which makes sense since i just got finished with chemo and my l=immune system is very low. i went to the dr.'s today and he prescribed me some hydrocodone(pain killers) and this other pill that shoudl speed up the process. i have the shingles under my left armpit so its a crappy place to get it but w.e. i cant wait till the shingles goes away and im healthy again. feeling really uplifted and positive right now. its nice.
