Post your strength differential Flat Bench VS Incline
Just wondering what everyone's strength difference is on flat dumbell/barbell press compared to incline of the same.
Mine has always been about 15lbs less on incline with dumbells but I'm focusing on equalizing that.

With barbell my incline is about 75% ish of my flat bench but I always do incline after flat and dips have been dealt with so my arms are pretty fried at that stage.

I actually can pull off more weight inclined.
No , I didn't post this for the fun of it , I really do manage more weight on an incline press.

My db incline used to be a 15 lbs less compared to my flat db bench press when I did flat bench first then db incline. However, now I do incline first and there is now no difference between them.

Huh? I think I missed something here.
As for me, my incline is about 185 and flat is 245. I have a really weak upper chest. And thats with incline to start :-\ Same goes for the comparison between my tris and bis ... I can pressdown over 200 but can curl only about 60 or 70 ... never did bicep work until I started working out in january of 2007. Before that all I did was triceps for blocking in football. ok enough rambling ...

It might have something to do with shoulders as well as the upper chest. I'm guessing you use even more shoulders for incline than flat. Shoulders are my most underdeveloped upper body part imo. I do about 145 for about 6-8 reps incline, and about 200 - 210 for 6-8 reps flat.
Honestly, I think my shoulders are the reason for my lowish bench pressing. People say i look like I can max at about 300+ when i'm only at about 245.

It makes sense that incline would be weaker than flat since the muscle you target on incline is smaller.
However, it seems like the upper chest is important to develop fully in order to get a well developed looking chest. I have a bit of a rounded chest with a divet at the top instead of a slab of muscle from top to bottom.
That's what I hope to fix
