I was having stress about posting my pictures in the other contest thread. I am in this contest as well as the MuscleTec/BB.com 50k transformation contest. But I posted them last night.
I just don't know if I can loose enough weight to be able to see my muscles, I have lost a total of 25 lbs and I am down to 182. To be honest I havent seen the 160's since 1995 (wow I am old huh yes 43).
I will have to haunt BB.com to keep on target and on task of loosing the fat. Great Job everyone on the Great progress.
I do have one question for all of you, how are you dealing with the before clothing not fitting. The top that I have on is HUGE, i pinned it over 2 inches in the back, but its getting really big in front too. What are you all doing ??

|
Holly you look awesome! Your physique has totally changed. Your thinning out and so much leaner. Plus your losing all over . . . so you dont have to deal with any problem areas. Just keep doing whatever your doing cuz its working girl!
Ok this is my specialty . . . CLOTHES!!! LOL! When I originally lost all that weight I went through 10 sizes in a year and half. At first I started buying new clothes and then realized that was not going to fit my budget. So what I did was go to consignments shops. I picked ones located in ritzy towns so the quality of clothes was better. What I did was turn in clothes that didnt fit me anymore and was given cash or store credit. Another benefit of shopping at consignment stores besides the cost is you get to experiment with different trends and styles. When I was heavy I only had access to one store; Lane Bryant. I didnt even know what I actually liked and disliked as I was forced to wear the styles they made in my size . . . Shopping at the consignments stores was a way to really figure out who the new me was. If I bought something and then realized that it wasnt for me then I turned it in for credit again. I also became familiar with a lot of different brands that I would not normally have purchased new and by the near end when I was ready to do some brand new clothes shopping for my final size I knew exactly what I wanted and what I didnt want. I still like to shop at consignment stores even now because you can get some really good stuff and cheap. If your not comfortable with wearing clothes that other people wore I still encourage you to go and check some out because you will be quite surprised at what you find. They only accept clothes that are in excellent condition. I got many compliments and even turned consignment shopping on to some of my friends.
Its not just for women either. TRANSMIGRATION you can shop there too!
Hope this helps!

coming attractions . . .
Hello everyone!
i woke up this morning to do my usual routine for picture day and nearly fainted when I got on the scale . . . not only did I reach my goal but I exceeded it a week early too! So today was it; final picture day. I got the paper and my bf took my pics. Im still floored that my transformation took place in only 11 weeks and not 12 . . . Im working on my essay now and hope to have everything posted by the end of the weekend. Thanks so much for everyones support; I really, really appreciate it and dont know if I would have been as successful. Will be in touch. Enjoy the rest of the week!

I know what you mean, I can't wait to go out to eat but at the same time I really don't want to lose anything I have worked for, lol. I might have me a Pizza Hut buffet one day though.
I think you and your man have made some great progress - remember you have a while left to complete your transformation just stay on track. Good luck.

12weeks or end date of April 30??
Wow oceanblue149,
You are looking really good and a great transformation. You mentioned that you'll be posting your essay on the 12 week for you, but I couldn't find where on the contest it said by the end of the 12th week to post your results. The only thing I saw was to have done the Hydroxycut for at least 8 weeks as a minimum requirement. Don't we have until 11:59:59 p.m. ET on April 30?
I would rather wait until the last possible moment to post my progress pics for the best results. If you don't know does anybody know what it should be? Other wise I guess alot of us will be posting our essay and pics really soon if we started close to the 1st of January. Yikes!!

You have until the end of April to finish your transformation. You had to go at least 8 weeks though. So I think she is just going by 12 weeks because that was her own personal goal! Hope this helps

Not sure about macros I try to just watch my calorie intake. I eat every 2-3 hours and have a protien and carb and then add either veggies or fruit. I drink a protein drink before bed. I am doing cardio 6 days a week and was doing weights 6 days then dropped it to 5 and now I am trying 4 days.

This is what is recommended for your age, height, weight (female). This already includes the exercise you listed above. So intake below is with exercise.
Maintenance:
2028 Calories/day
Fat Loss:
1622 Calories/day
Extreme Fat Loss:
1217 Calories/day
|
Well I know I was trying to get between 1300-1400 calories a day. I admit I have slacked on writing everything down though! Do you count all carbs like veggies and fruit along with sweet potatoes, rice, etc?

My protein is 250grams a day
My Carbs 140 grams
I upped your carbs because most can't handle less and lots of people might jump on me for saying less as a recommendation.
Only reason I suggested what I did is because it works for me, doesn't mean it will work for you
Good luck.

Holy Moly you are hardcore! I like food to much to only eat one actual meal a day! The shakes don't fill me up enough. I am hungry an hour later..lol. Tomorrow I will start weighing my stuff as I have no clue how much protein and carbs I am eating a day. I know I try to get around 3-4 oz of each at each meal.

Hi
Thanks for all your support and sorry for not getting back to some of you with the IMs. Im still in the process of posting pictures. I have most of them up on my bodyspace page and also posted my essay there too. I will post my essay and pics in the forum hopefully this week. Its time consuming because I have to transfer all the photos to photoshop.com in order to link them to the forum . . . phew . . . lot of work . . .
Everyone is looking good so keep at it. Spring is now here and that means that the two piece bikini summer ready season is next so stay on track and don?t lose focus ladies (and you too Transmigration)!

I'm not a professional by any means, but eating only one meal a day isn't quite the healthiest thing you could do. Supplementing with shakes and protein bars will eventually leave your body malnourished and starving. You might get better gains (or cuts?) by eating real food. I know it's hard at work, but I truly believe it's important to supplement your body with healthy food, no processed stuff... Plus you can't keep that up forever, might as well learn to eat right and make it a lifestyle diet and be lean forever! Your body will thank you
Just my opinion!
I don't want people on here thinking they have to have a liquid and protein bar diet to rule a contest. But you keep doing you thing, I'm sure you're doing good!

Real food is very important in my eyes as well, I agree with you a.l.i.c.e. It will catch up at some point and I believe your body will not know how
to transfer the food later. Just my thoughts

You two are being silly. I never said real foods are not important. This thing has gotten blown out of proportion. All I said in a longer version:
The biggest advantage of protein supplements is not that they can build more muscle than chicken or egg whites or any other whole food protein, the biggest advantage is convenience. It is easier to drink a protein shake than it to buy, prepare, cook and eat poultry, fish or egg whites. Consuming small, frequent meals is the optimal way to eat, regardless of whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain. To keep your body constantly in positive nitrogen balance, you must consume a complete protein every three hours. For many people, eating this often is nearly impossible. That's when a high quality protein supplement is the most helpful.
If you really want to talk about strict check out slim-fast diets. Way harder then what I'm doing.

Trans.
I'm doing this contest for my Family - We need the money. Love and responsibility have pushed me far. If I don't place in the top "5" I will be ashamed of myself.
MAY I SAY SOMETHING PLEASE?
This quote "I HIGHLY RESPECT" That's awsome very awsome

Thanks for the reply oceanblue149, hope you had fun playing hostess..that can be hard thing to do when it comes to parents and making sure they have a good time visiting. You are looking really good, my results are not as good as yours, but happy that I did try at least. Good to know though, that I do have until the end of April. I did pick-up my cardio from 3x a week to 5-6 days per week, nothing yet....but keeping my fingers crossed.

I Finished The Hydroxycut Max! Transformation Contest In 11 Weeks!!!
HYDROXYCUT MAX! TRANSFORMATION CONTEST ESSAY
First off, I want to say thank you to both Hydroxycut Max! And Bodybuilding.com! You weren't kidding when you said we are now one step closer to getting the sexy body of our dreams. In the past 11 weeks I have lost 27 lbs, 8.5% body fat and 3 dress sizes. My abs are flatter, my thighs are tighter and I have defined arms and shoulders. By December of 2008 I had yo-yoed up 25 pounds and was camouflaging my "muffin top" with maternity styled shirts. It was becoming clear that if I did not do something quick I would have to put away my tight low rise jeans forever, or permanently sew Spanx in all my clothes. So, on January, 1st 2009, I decided it was time for a change and to give Americas #1 selling Weight-Loss Supplement a shot. By incorporating Hydroxycut Max! with exercise and eating healthy the pounds started melting away immediately. Each week my clothes were feeling noticeably looser, while a more shapely and toned physique was becoming visible. Now I can continue to wear my skinny jeans with a fitted top and not have to worry about any flab spilling over. You don't know how much it means to me to be able to take pride in my appearance again. I feel so confident and, most importantly smokin' hot again! Thanks again to Hydroxycut Max! and Bodybuilding.com for giving me the opportunity to regain control of my life.
Sincerely,
Sarah
