I guess it all depends on the session and how your moving. My brother has a natural great build and he claims it's from sex often, and he might be telling the truth, cause other than that, he's lazy as hell. He'll work smart, but damn sure not hard, lol.

I tell my wife it is good cardio and I tell her she needs to get her daily protein supplement too. It usually is followed by a roll of the eyes lol.

it definitely boots your endorphines etc. which is very healthy.
here's an idea......have your girl lay down and get in the plank position on top with a pillow under her pelvis..that adds more of a workout and hits a nice position for her. dont be lazy and lay on her htough...stay in plank and use you rlower abs for...thrusting ...yea..you get it

Haha..I so believe it's certainly my favorite workout of the week. I keep trying to tell my husband that we should have more sex to help speed my weight loss..but low and behold not every man wants to have sex everyday..at least mine doesn't , blaming shift work and exhaustion...even when I promise to do all the work! Men!! So off to the gym I go~~

Sex is great for burning calories and working up a good sweat!

I'm with you, bro. I get my sweat on big-time from doin' the do - and I love it! One person lamentingly responded that "you don't burn too many calories" from having sex. Well, it depends on whether or not your primary goal of a given whoppie session is to mainly "burn calories." If you care more about buring calories than gettin' your groove on, then I'd suggest hitting the weights and treadmill.
Otherwise, if you're like me and you just love hittin' it like a champ just for the sake of..., well..., hittin' it like a champ, then the calories you do burn in the process (200 on average, give or take) is just an added bonus.
MY POINT: Regular exercise improves your sex drive and stamina, and handlin' yo bid'ness in the boudoir improves cardio and overall health. It's all connected, my brother!
So, just do your thing, bro, and everything else will fall into place.
P.S. Spank it one time for me. LOL!!!

This does have a ton of healthy benifits that help in weight loss. But for cardio no. It does help out a little in weight loss because you have an elevated heart rate.

if you're having to prop yourself up with 1 leg for a good duration of time, I can see it being a pretty good replacement. It's more of a static exercise than a dynamic. Try holding a bulgarian split squat or a lunge and thrusting the pelvis for a few minutes. You'll have some impressive glutes and adductors/abductors after months of sex. Treat it like HIIT cardio
5min warmup
30 seconds on
30 seconds off
repeat 10-15min
5min cooldown/crying/smoke break

If anything, you can get a good supply of your complex carbs if you know what I mean.

I found some sources that suggest vigorous activity burned about 114 calories per hour, but I don't think most people can do it vigorously for a full hour.
In the final analysis, does anybody really care? I am not going to stop doing it because it is way more fun than jogging!

I don't think it works for me because it's the one thing in the world that makes me absolutely hungry and I have to eat right after. To make things worse the timing is bad because it's usually right before I go to sleep and that's not an ideal time to load up on calories.

Sure it is, otherwise I would look pretty silly High-Fiving my wife after sex and telling her good set!
I kid, I kid
It probably is kind of a cardio session, but as in most cardio it all depends on the person(s) involved. If you can run a mile easily without breaking a sweat or putting much effort into it you won't get quite the same workout as someone working his/her tail off running there own mile. I think each person is individual and it comes down to intensity and duration along with how much work your really doing.
If you lay there and let your partner do all the work, and its a brief session, I hardly believe you did much. But on the other hand, you could get something possibly out of it if you are left gasping for air and turning on the fan afterwards too cool off.
Then you can High-Five!!!
=)

One other way that works is picking them up and doing the female while in the air. Then you can actually curl them on and off your pole. My wife is 115 pounds so I'm basically curling something pretty decent.
Another is slam em on a wall. Guys have to use their leg muscles to keep it going.
