Red wine is probably your best bet. There are 125 calories in a 6oz glass and less than 1 g of carbs. Red wine can at least add some health benefits unlike spirits and is lower calories per oz.

I remember someone telling me Guinness has relatively low calories...
Guinness is lower calorie than most LIGHT beers because it has such a low alcohol content, which surprised me when I looked it up.

My question is how long is your cut? 1 month? 2 months? I am surprised you cannot stay off alcohol for that long... Oh yes, I forgot, drinking beer and acting like a jackass when you're drunk is cool....

Seriously though, if this kid starts rolling into parties and bars chugging his red wine its probably gonna look pretty weird...

when you drink, your body don't burn any fat. It rather stores all food as fat.

Alcohol, is the cleanest and easiest fuel source, so it uses that as fuel for your body as soon as it enters your stomach.

Thereby not processing any food in it, and helping your body store that food as fat.

so if you are going out drinking, make sure to not eat much beforehand.

When you eat food along ith drinking, it slows down the rate of absorption of the alcohol so that's be totally true.

Alcohol calories can not be stored, so if you drink vodka and diet, you can't gain any fat from it. Fat could be gained however if you drink things like beer that has hops/barley/malt in it, or if you eat while you are drinking.
