That is the one advantage of being 5'8 - I can get full R.O.M. without slamming my head into the ceiling.

Home Gym
Nothing too fancy. A bodysolid rack purchased off of craigslist, a hoist flat/incline bench, 300lb olympic weight set, and a pair of chucks.

How do you like that Hoist bench? That's the one with the fixed decline position seat pad right?

My home gym
My home gym. I made a few pieces of equipment such as the cable pushdown, flat bench, leverage squat, weight racks etc... Have gotten some more weight since this pic was taken.

It has served me well for the past year and a half or so that I've owned it. It's fairly comfortable and is just fine for dumbbell work. The only gripe that I have just came about recently (since I've owned a rack) is that I have to move the bench back to do any sitting overhead presses (as opposed to the Bodycraft where the seat slides to incline). This wouldn't normally be a problem, but I have a small room where my rack is and I don't have much room to adjust the bench.

Ive had my Body Solid lat pulldown for a couple months now, and have noticed that I can wiggle the upright posts side to side. Not a ton, but its there. Being a Body Solid unit, I would have expected it to be more rigid. Is this normal, or am I being anal?

Just wanted to show the changes in one section of my indoor gym (aka gym #1 of 3).
Old style-powerblocks, bench, stability ball
New version: hex dumbbells, lat pulldown

I was tempted to make a few things with unistrut.

The yellow paint was given to me and the purple vinyl I picked up for free from an upholster... I re-padded the benches myself.

Yeah, It might be a type of unistrut. Definitely from some type of shelving system. But it's a solid RHS (not channel) so it's strong enough.... I think :-) Most of my equipment is dodgy and dangerous as but gets the job done.

Sometimes it's OK to just say NO to free stuff.
Very brave use of color. You're one of those non-conforming type people aren't you?

I think it's pretty cool that you were able to make a lot of your own stuff, regardless of the color (pink and blue would be pretty lame though), and if it's a matter of making your own or not having it at all, I say go for it.

Oh. And if you decide to put posters up, at least make sure they're posters of hot looking women. Y'know - to keep the testosterone levels up.

When I see stuff like that I always think it's someone from this forum. I mean those are the things most members here buy .
Cage..Irionmaster bench and Quicklock dumbbells.
A regular Joe or Jane isn't going to go out and just buy these items unless they have some info on what's good or not and have been surfing this forum.
