PC, I know how you feel. In the past 3 weeks I have lost a total of like 3 lbs. Gets a little frusrating but I think my clothes are fitting better and BF% slowly coming down. Can't weight for pictures at the end of the month to see how I changed and see everyone else's changes. Keep at it and I bet you will be surprised![/QUOTE]

For those of you that have been asking about posting photo's in this thread. I own a forum and one of my moderators created this tutorial awhile back. Thought it might help some of you.

1st go to photbucket and open an account



fill out account info. by selecting PUBLIC others will be able to view your album



once your account is set up you can upload pics. press the browse button




select a picture from your album (PC) and click it to load it to your photobucket



your pic is ready , click UPLOAD

Just checking in. I had a little bit better week this time around. Current weight is 272 and bf% is staying at 35%. I'm doing a lot better eating this week and things are getting easier. Everyone keep up the good work!

Yeah, big mystery on the weigh in today... not too sure how that kinda loss happened. Maybe my body is the opposite to the other peoples theory on Sunday weigh ins and it loses weight becasue it knows I'm weighing in :P. I won't complain though, as long as the BF% is dropping.

For the record, I really need to start using my caliper. I just want to use mechanism throughout the group, so my results are relative to each other.

All said and done, I did pretty well this week. The scale says 125 this AM which is down from 128 last Sunday. I figure I should only lose another 2 to 5 lbs and then I'm at a good weight for a woman my height. My new clothes are the "right" size for me and I look good dressed. I don't want to compete or anything. My goal is to look and feel good and be healthy. And of course to maintain this body - which might be the most difficult part of this journey!
My problem remains my belly which looks and measures the same. Last week waist 28" , hips 35". Today is the same. I just received my bf% Accumeasure 3000 in yesterday's mail and tried it out this AM. I am clueless!!! I came up with 17.3%, 21.5% and 23.4% on my tries. Go figure. I know this is a common problem when you first start doing this until you get the hang of it.

Any suggestions on how to hone in on it?

Any suggestions on what exercises I should be doing?

Also, I tried to insert pictures directly into this message like I've seen some of you do but with no luck. How do you so this? So I'm posting them as an attachment. These are 2 I took in the dressing room at the mall so I could objectively see how I look. Ordinarily I wouldn't share them with anyone but seeing as I'm asking you to help me I thought you should see what I'm complaining about here. So please be kind.

Here's the feedack Not bad djz227.Your belly isn't big but your posture IMO could be better to help the belly problem.It looks like you have a little bit of a sway back and your shoulders are pointing in.This will make the belly look bigger.Try standing with your shoulders back and upright.I think upper body workouts help with body posture it's hepling me.It sounds funny but stand like Superwoman showing off her Big S. Hope this might help.

Week 2

Week 3 is going to be my real test.I don't have to go back to work until Friday night.The last 2 days I havn't had my frist meal until after my workout and thats around 12 noon and I've been having some late meals like 9 and 10pm.Tuesday may do me in cause I'm hanging out with my sister to find that pot of gold while we drink some pints on St. Patrick's Day wish me LUCK.Than Saturday is my 45th and yes I'm going to have cake and ice cream.I had some last Friday for my son's birthday.Man I wanted to eat those 3 pints of Ben-n-Jerrys bad,but I controlled my self just 1 serving.

I hope everybodies having fun with their challeng.Keep it Fun,Happy and POSITIVE and don't worry about the scale because were getting Healthy and Happy.

Don't feel sad at all. If you haven't gone up in weight, then you are being successful. At this point, I think it is time to adjust your cardio/diet some and see if that helps with the loss.

I just re-read the link I posted, and everything there says 1 meal a week. Now a traditional ketosis diet has a carb-up period of 24-36 hours. This specific one has a one meal limit. You don't have to get to 600g of carbs, that is just a guideline of what not to go over. And judging by my poor performance the other night, I won't ever get close to that limit.

Yep, that means you burnt body fat but gained muscle (usually). Scale weight doesn't mean anything at the early stages. Your doing fine.

Ladies and gents not much to report this week only 2 pound drop...I have been sick but manage to do my weight training for 2 days and cardio for 2 ...I'm looking to put things in 6th gear for this week...I'm going to eat cleaner, knocking the dust off the brown bags for this week.

I've been out of the gym for the past 3 days but was able to get back today. I did a quick chest workout then hit the elliptical for 45 mins. I have been able to maintain my diet pretty well with a cheat meal on sat night. I had a buffalo chicken wrap with a buffalo chips from wild wing cafe. Not too bad comparitively. Looking forward to a good week ahead of us.

Weigh in for today was 242 down from 244 and body fat was 26.5 again down from 27.5. Pretty excited that I lost some weight this week.

hey guys, just wanted to say that this week was a good week, hit the gym as planned on my 4 days and bumped my cardio up from 15min to about 20-22 min, and also managed to hit all 4 cardios.

i feel good
i went out and baught a Omron fat loss machine that tells me my body fat
so tomorow when i weight my self, i will also be adding my bf % in my signature as well

so far so good. never been more motivated to lose weight
u guys rock haha

Ahh... I see. I think I got that information from reading some stuff from a couple other guys on here. It was in the Nutrition/Keto area. I just re-read the one you are doing and yes it does seem a bit extreme...lol

Also, on another note. I have been taking Hydroxycut Hardcore and Chromium Picolinate(sp?). Anyhow, the chromium says it is supposed to raise your glucose level. You think these two things could be messing with me trying to get into Ketosis? If so I think I might discontinue use of them to see if that is what the problem is.

Smile Checking in after two weeks

The first week was a little disappointing so I ramped up the cardio. My workout usually last 80 minutes doing a two day split on weight training. I still find my energy low near the end of the workouts though.

Mar. 1 --> 205 lbs.
Mar. 8 --> 204 lbs.
Mar. 15 -> 200 lbs.

I think being aware of your calorie count, and commitment to the gym helped this week.

so last night was rough, got to the gym and was dead tired from the days activities. so i only got in 25 min of stationary bike. i feel way better today so hopefully my workout goes better. i think im going to step up my cardio more though.

Hmmmmmm Confusing weight but i know something is working because Mrs.Timsmish measured my bicept for me and starting on March 1 it wa 14 inches soft,today it was 15 soft and 17 flexed....I told her going in that I wanted a 19 inch soft bicept.. Hahahaha got a ways to go yet....I also had to tighten by belt one whole notch ...so who cares about the numbers on the scale.....Hope everyone is moving in the right direction....On to the next week... WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Sunday weigh in ....

March 1: Weight - 137 lbs / Body Fat - 28%
March 8: Weight - 132.2 lbs / Body Fat - 28%
March 15: Weight - 132.2 lbs / Body Fat - 27.2 %

Would like to see things change a little quicker but I have to keep reminding myself that my body didn't get this way over night and it's certainly not going to improve over night!
