New - a little frustrated

Hey guys,

new member here. didnt quite know where to start this topic so i figured this was the most relative subforum.

a little background, i am one of those guys that have incredibly fast metabolism and its really hard for me to gain weight. your average scarecrow looking dude in his early 20s. about 2 months ago i started working out and trying to gain weight. so i started eating more, trying to make sure its good food that i eat. and then i introduced isolated proteins, the expensive good stuff. and lo and behold i started gaining muscle and weight, fairly slowly but still i went from skinny to thin. now since i started using this iso-protein i started having stomach problems, nothing serious in the beginning, just more frequent visits to the bathroom (the more you eat the more you poop right?). i thought my body would get used to it but it just seems to get worse and the last couple of days my stomach has really been hurting. so basically im wondering what can i do? i dont want to get off this stuff cuz its been helping me gain the muscle and weight but if i keep using this stuff my stomach is gonna hurt like hell and i wont be able to eat at all.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

try some probiotics like acidophilus...and definitely try supplementing some digestive enzymes. I think this could really help your situation out.
