Agh! No gym ethics anymore??

First they came to your door.. then they started calling your house at dinnertime.. then somehow acquired your cell phone and every new address you move to..... and now the damn solicitors are hounding me at the gym! I cant believe this! Today I was working out, minding my business, and some lady comes walking around the gym handing out bottles of water with business cards on them for Wachovia. I tried to look real busy so she wouldnt bother me but it didnt work. Lo and behold, she comes over and asks "sweetie, would you like a bottle of water"? Im thinking.. "lady, im over here trying to crunch out some preacher curls, get the hell away from me before I sweat all over your nice shoes". I grunted "yeah" and she told me if I had any questions to come see her little booth on the way out. Yea, thats what I want.. sign me up for the bank that just got bailed out. Thanks.

Anyone else encountered this or just as appalled as I am?? The one place I THOUGHT i could be left alone... jeez.

Wow I really would have never imagined that. I would have been pretty appalled too. I might have had to make a big deal of it.

Wow - that's amazing. Seeing as how I'm usually angry when I do my weight session anyway, I probably would've said something cruel, and then felt bad about it afterwards. After all, it probably wasn't her idea to go hand out business cards at the gym.

But man, way to bastardize one of the last safe havens on earth...

second person i would have yelled at was the manager of my gym... i don't pay my subs to be hounded in the gym!

Yup, redbull, quixtar, tee shirts, some magic pills that grow bean stalks high enough to reach imaginary kingdoms.

Gold's tends to be friendly to these types..

Lol. I had that happen about a week ago. I thought the exact same thing but I had headphones on and kept my angry face on. One of them looked like they may have attempted to come in my direction but decided against it. lol.

Maybe i need to work on my angry face... i think she was happy there was at least one female in there to talk to. I however, was not as happy to talk to her lol
