Sorry to hear everyone died out. Looks like there is several more challenges firing up though so hopefully everyone can stay motivated and get involved somewhere.
Also looks like you did one hell of a job. I vote you the winner of this one!

Deploying ****
Been getting spun back up...
I will do all my weigh-in **** Thursday. Sorry so late. I have been working out but just no time for bb.com since they blocked it from work. The SO and I run a lot and I am still lifting.
I have noticed I have truly CHANGED my lifestyle, which includes, cutting way the **** down on internets. I am in the Raptor Running Club and from this past Sunday to this coming Friday, I will have competed in THREE 5ks.
This is amazing since my back was so ****ed.
Will post soon

its been raining so hard here in the bay area. So much things going on but I manage to keep my diet in somewhat of a good form. I have been lagging w/ the gym.
Sunday - didn't go , was raining so hard
Monday - woke up at 530am with ONLY 2-3 hours of sleep (went to sleep around 3am)
went to work and then had to study for a midterm.
Today - its a huge storm outside & I'm not using it as an excuse but i do NOT want to catch a cold.
Tomorrow- I will go for sure!!!

Sadly my motivation is dropping BUT I'm still in the game. I really didn't want to win like this haha. My ideal win would have everyone right next to me or passing me at the finish line. Oh well.. there is always next competition.

So how much total weight, BF you drop during this competition? Got before and after pics?
I am now down 27 lbs since January 1 of this year. Getting a new bodyfat scale today so hopefully can track that a little better.

The pic is posted a few posts up and as for BF% I really wish I bought those caliper things. I didn't buy one so I still don't know my bf% but to me..i could tell it went down.

Yeah, tomorrow I'll weigh in. Dreading the scale has kicked me mostly back on track for the time being. It's just the fact that i have to POST it so everyone else can see how bad i'm doing, seems to be a motivator so i'm gonna roll with it. I think I'll weigh myself every 4 days from here on in and post the results. It should help me grasp how I'm doing, I should drop about a pound each time. If I don't, i'll have to figure out some sort of "punishment". Any ideas?

LOL .. post a pic of yourself with a bunch of smiley faces pointing and laughing at you. Then I'm going to quote every single thing you said in the beginning of how you are going to lose weight. Then I'll make a thread that says LOOK GUYS OSCAR FAILED
haha j/p man..punishment for you is gaining weight..i think that's the worst punishment. starting out trying to lose weight but in the end you went the opposite direction.

I was thinking more like if I don't lose a full pound every 4 days then the next 4 days have a REALLY strict diet. Whereas normally it's more just as long as I don't go over my calorie intake I'm good to go. If I don't lose the pound then it's eat this many calories, this much, this often, and this much protein, and don't eat this, this, this, and DEFINITELY not this.
I weighed myself last night after i ate to get an idea of what to expect this morning, however I couldn't weigh myself this morning before eating so I'll go with last night's innacurate weight.
As suspected i gained weight, 4 pounds (which COULD just be the fact it was really late at night and after eating) but still puts my "official" weigh in at 173 :-\ we'll see how i'm looking on the 10th. Hopefully I'll drop some water weight i've built up and with a more accurate reading maybe i'll be about where i left off last month. I KNOW I can eat good for just 4 days.

honestly..i think everyday 4 days would unmotivate you when you don't see results. I say every 7 days. A few days ago I did a weight in and i weight at 209lbs I'm like I gained 5 lbs. I did a weigh in today and I was 203.4lbs!!!
Btw I didn't hit the gym for ONE WEEK now. I was thinking my muslces needed a rest because last week I could not even do more then 5 pushups since my right arm would hurt each time I lifted myself. However I still watched my diet. I would rate my diet 6/10 because it wasn't so strict

Every 4 days might be much, yes, but I think it would help more then a week, mentally every four days is "I just have to lose a pound in 4 days, that's easy!" 2 pounds in a week just seems like more time i have to be on a strict diet. It's not a big difference in reality but mentally it's a bit of a change. Also I should see a pound shave off each week it's not much but it should be enough. You forget I'm 30 pounds lighter than you losing just one pound brings me closer to my goal than it does yours. If it doesn't seem to work i'll change my game plan around, just trying to see what works for me ya know?
Personally these three months are a lot more about diet than exercise, I'm still pretty broke so a gym is questionable, and i'm moving at the end of the month. Though it's closer to the gym i used to go to AND since i'm closer it'll be cheaper cause i'm "local" even though before I wasn't far at all. So April hopefully I'll have the diet figured out then I can concentrate on weights. I'd love to be bulking by june... so I definitely have enough time to shave the weight off for summer.

I'd say look on the brightside, at least you know you'll be one of the top people at the end of the competition, but if it's just you and me at the end it sort of defeats the purpose of a team, huh?
Oh also I'm moving so the end of this month my post might start to get somewhat sparse as, i'll be moving.

LOL o man...Oscar = 2nd place... hahaha.. anyways I hope after this contest we still try to motivate each other somehow.
I'm so bad right now. That stupid song "blame it" (on the alochol)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rzvl7cA5jDk
made me open a beer. then I got the stupidest idea of "let me drink beer so i can sleep early because I'm going to lose an hour of sleep tonight". ahh..o well Its technically sunday, my cheat day.
blame my drinking on the damn song

ok well.. i just bought 10 boxes of special K cereal (1.99 each at safeway). I hope it doesn't mess up my diet. I been eating cereal ever since I went on my diet and I been losing weight reguardless.
poor college student here so $2 cereal is very helpful LOL
One bowl = 120calories + 90 calories for soy milk = about 210 calories for one meal
doesn't seem too bad.

no, I always switch eggs and cereal for my breakfast. Cereal has never slowed me down. As long as its not cereal thats full of sugar you should be fine. Special K is a decent brand cereal. I also enjoy Total and Kashi.

I couldn't weigh myself this morning so another innaccurate weight but it was 173 again. But on the lower side like almost 172. not quite as much of i change as i'd like to see... I'll try and tighten up my diet some more for the next 4 days..
Also I bought like 5 boxes of cereal yesterday for .99 a pop.. pretty sweet, it was generic on sale but whatever.

So when is the the deadline for this thing?
I am currently holding at 258 lbs but have lost several inches of waist and hips. Went from Size 40 jeans to 36's which feels great!...lol
Do we just make a final post with before and after pics and stats the last week of March or?

final post at march 31st. I'm doing bad right now honestly..
first my widsom teeth hurts and I have to get it pulled out which would take me out of the gym and my strict diet for a week or so.
Then b/f g/f drama crap...and we both are pissed off at each other. Now ima end up drinking and chilling with the guys to get this whole thing. Screws up my metabolism because you know when you are mad and pissed you don't feel like eating..
Then class finals are next week and this week i have 2 exams right before finals and an 8page paper to write.
omg guys..i think this is my final weigh in whatever my weight is.
HOWEVER!!! ONCE ALL THIS STUFF IS OFF MY BACK I SWEAR ILL COME BACK. I have been getting good compliments to make me hit the gym. Sorry if this post is crap..I'm not myself right now. BUT I have been eating subway for the last week every single day. So my diet doesn't consist of the stuff that killed me last time. At least my minium is no fatty fast food.
Hey carr thanks for posting tho. this thread is really dying but I keep watching it daily all the time

Well get those teeth taken care of. Take it from someone with experience that you must take care of them or you lose them...lol
When it comes to the relationship drama about the only thing you can do is give it time. Spending time with the guys does help though. Maybe you should stick with light beer?...lol
You will get back on track though. It just feels too damn good to be healthy for a change and if you are anything like me you wont let a little bad period ruin it.

light beer really isn't all that much better than normal, since alcohol has calories in it. Basically once you've got a good buzz you know your diet for the day is ****ed :-p
Also my diet yesterday was CRAP. I just ate some junk and it killed my calories for the day i stayed within my limit for the most part but the later got really hungry with nothing i could eat. I ended up eating something before going to bed so i could sleep. I'm sure i didn't have a surplus of calories but it seems to have really broken my moral right now. I didn't eat THAT bad and ended up starving and paying for it for the rest of the day, makes me want to give up :-\
Oh well hopefully a solid diet will keep this from happening again.

[QUOTE=OscarGortez;300219261]light beer really isn't all that much better than normal, since alcohol has calories in it. Basically once you've got a good buzz you know your diet for the day is ****ed :-p

Man this board is dead... anyway my weigh in this morning was 170.4lbs which quite frankly is a little surprising. In 4 days I've dropped roughly 3 pounds, what's more is that in the last four days i wasn't all that strict with my diet, especially not enough to lose much weight. I'd actually thought i'd be about the same, I haven't been counting calories that much just trying to eat smaller portions. I haven't even been that healthy.
I account the weight loss completely to time of day, that other measurements were later in the day, the first even after I ate. This one was first thing in the morning.
Next time I expect the loss to be much less or even a slight gain if i weigh myself at night again.
